  1. Did you see Pujols talk to J.J. Hardy when he got to second base? He was like, "that was ****ing bull****".
  2. http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u114/phillieswin/t1_hamels.jpg Cole Hamels: 11-8, 3.20 http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj71/CSerna734/t1_dempster_all1.jpg Ryan Dempster: 15-5, 2.85 The Cubs are back home and welcome in the Philadelphia Phillies, in the first of a seven game homestand. The Phillies lead the season series 2-1, but the two teams haven't met since mid April. Taking the mound for the Phillies is their ace, Cole Hamels. He dominated the Cubs on April 12th, allowing just one hit through seven innings. Ryan Dempster has been the most consistent starter for the Cubs this season, and with another win will set a new career high in wins. He has yet to face the Phillies this year, and hasn't faced them since 2002. Keep it going. Go Cubs!
  3. http://i194.photobucket.com/albums/z35/kylesz17/jasonmarquis3.jpg Jason Marquis: 8-7, 4.76 http://i530.photobucket.com/albums/dd342/Best_Damn_Pics/MLB/Pittsburgh%20Pirates/capted5bbf55c520457babae29bc4e55288.jpg Zach Duke: 4-12, 5.29 With the win in game two, the Cubs have now won nine straight series'. That doesn't mean we should blow this game just because we can. Jason Marquis had a great start going against the Nationals, until he fell apart and allowed a few runs and walks. Marquis is 2-0 with a 3.50 ERA in four starts against the Pirates in 2008. Zach Duke is pretty bad, and hasn't gotten a win since June 9th. He's 0-2 with a 5.01 ERA in four starts against the Cubs this season. Let's get another one. Go Cubs!
  4. Sneaky power joining in on the fun. :D
  5. It's tough seeing Z struggle against the Pirates as bad as he has this year.
  6. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y205/xbeenjamminx/zambrano_195.jpg Carlos Zambrano: 13-6, 3.29 http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll148/j33stascak/snell.jpg Ian Snell: 5-10, 5.60 The Cubs easily defeated the Pirates in game one of the series, with Kosuke Fukudome and Jim Edmonds getting big hits. Game two features the Cubs ace, Carlos Zambrano, and the less-than-spectacular Ian Snell. In two starts against the Cubs in 2008, Snell is 0-1 with a 6.30 ERA. Meanwhile, Carlos Zambrano is 1-0 in three starts with a 5.82 ERA against the Pirates. Let's win our 9th straight series. Go Cubs!
  7. http://i194.photobucket.com/albums/z35/kylesz17/tedlilly4.jpg Ted Lilly: 12-7, 4.25 http://cache.daylife.com/imageserve/06pVdGN92C6Py/610x.jpg Jeff Karstens: 2-2, 2.25 The Cubs are 11-4 against the Pirates in 2008, and head into Pittsburgh looking to win some more. Ted Lilly takes the hill for the Cubs, and is 1-0 in three starts against the Pirates this year. The key for Lilly in this one is to not give up the home run ball. Going for the Pirates is Jeff Karstens, who previously shut the Cubs down on August 1st. Let's make it a season high 31 over .500. Go Cubs!
  8. It's Ned Yost we're talking about. He'll get the complete game.
  9. Runner in scoring position. Drive 'em in, Rammy.
  10. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y136/Rocket1124/2007%20Nationals/May/18c2ca48.jpg Jason Bergmann: 2-9, 4.50 http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f304/STABaller/0566bad9c607ee9514619542f22af52f-1.jpg Rich Harden: 8-2, 2.04 (3-1,1.50 with Cubs) The Cubs got a much needed win in game two against the Nationals. Aramis Ramirez had a huge game, knocking in six RBI to go along with his two home runs. In the rubber game of the series, Rich Harden will go for the Cubs. He has won his last two starts, and his last three out of four. Jason Bergmann pitches for the Nationals, and he's pretty bad. Here's to win #80 on the season. Go Cubs!
