  1. He was around his plate. He couldn't put away some hitters, got into deep counts and ended up walking them, but had a good looking outing. Apparently the walks were due to a very inconsistent strike zone. A few ball 4's were obvious strike 3's.
  2. Nice inning, 2 out hitting FTW Oswalt over 100 pitches
  3. It's pathetic that our number 4 hitter getting a base hit is considered an anomaly
  4. At 98 pitches and with his release point rising (according to Gameday)? I doubt it.
  5. Wells has pitched well, but he needs to keep this up because I don't think he'll get much run support this game
  6. I like bases loaded walks. We need more of those.
  7. 3 walks in a row. I'm digging the patience
  8. Apart from the HR Dempster has been really good today.
  9. Yeah, you throw a strike to Gonzales but let Brian Giles get 3-0. Awesome.
  10. Who is that in your avatar, Keeley Hazell? misa campo Nice. Oh, and good to see we're not giving AG anything to hit.
  11. Who is that in your avatar, Keeley Hazell?
  12. Fuku really is the OBP machine we signed him for.
  13. Oh no, I hope that doesn't happen. The horror, to think that one of these days Marmol will allow runs to score and lose a game. No other reliever has had to deal with that tragedy. I'm sure as soon as it happens, you'll forget how many times his control won innings that eventually led to winning games. Marmols control has been off all season. Even the strikes he throws are no where near where the catcher sets them up.
  14. All sources (except Braun and Macha) indicate it did.
  15. Lilly's been great so far this year. He has the tendency to start slow and get better as the season goes on. So maybe when he starts the season like this, he gets even better later on?
  16. But that's only because their pitchers don't have any control. Ryan Dempster on the other hand has perfect control and can't accidentally miss his spot. Wow i hope you're kidding because if you aren't, that has to be the dumbest post i've ever read on this board to say that Dempster has perfect control. You have fallen into the sarchasm.
  17. This looks like a fun matchup. I wonder who'll be more dominant. On one side you've got a pitcher who's consistently awesome (Peavey) On the other side you've got a pitcher who's the best pitcher in MLB when he's on, but that requires him to be "in the zone" (Harden)
