If they aren't mathematicall eliminated, it's not over. Don't give me this slipping away from the brewers shyte. Cubs can choke away any lead in any situatin . And even then they would find a way.

Ok. I'm going to be delusional right now. Sweet the Brewers are going to lose. Try to continue our 9 game winning streak to finally scratch out a two game lead over these guys. Let's carry the hot streak into tomarrow.

Don't worry about those guys. Cub curse crap doesn't apply to the Cards anyway. Their winning & losing actually makes sense. And they aren't blowing a 5 run lead in the 9th because as crappy as they are they have a few arms in that BP. But the Cubs need them to win more than they do.

We seem to at least challenge decent teams so we might lose in 4 The Cards sucked and backed into October and you know what happened. The White Sox backed into October in 2005 and we saw how that turned out. Plus, we generally play well against good teams. It's suckfests like the Marlins that give us trouble. Don't get started with that optimism bullcrap. No kidding. What team do you think we cheer for.

not sure if you are aware, but that's considered bad mojo around here. Why? just curious. My college team used to do it all the time when we had a lead late. Its fairly common in baseball. You remember 2003?

I wonder what ever happened to best record determining it. Sure, the AL would have it every year, but that way only the team that makes the WS can earn their HFA. Now, whoever makes the WS from the NL is screwed out of HFA because TLR couldn't bat the NL's best hitter. I could accept rotating the WS every year up until interleague play. (Although that was still a terrible idea) but doing it for the LCS makes no sense to me.
