    That last one might have cleared the batters eye whenever the day was last week when there were winds of 20-30 mph. The team might have 7-8 homers if we were at Wrigley with the wind blowing out. Of course Maholm is probably pitching for fly balls but still.

    Soriano is scalding hot, why isn't he hitting higher? I don't care that much about what a line up looks like but when a guy has hit 4 home runs in three games don't you want to give him as many AB's as possible?

    Yeah, I've been pretty down on Versteegs play this playoffs (actually the 2nd half of the season). Kind of funny that he scored that goal about 5 seconds after a horrific blunder, losing the puck when he was right in front of the net with Luongo down. But he redeemed himself. Last year when he was getting Calder nominations, I think people would have expected him to step up more this year, but if anything he stepped down a bit. Still, he's not a horrible 3rd or 4th line winger I guess. I thought he did some things well last night. He almost screwed up the game winning goal but their were a couple of times when I thought caused some havoc on the fore check and there were a couple of times when he was able to get to the net on some nice plays.

    Are you serious? I'm assuming they didn't treat Game 1 like that despite the result, but if they are honestly thinking that before the series starts, that's mind boggling. Hopefully he was probably just rationalizing getting beat badly because if you don't know Vancouver is better than Nashville then you are kind of dumb.

    You could look at it this way. If they return to form they'll probably be doing it when the rest of the offense cools down so the offensive production could remain the same.

    Assuming Lou is actually still a functioning human being, what the hell is his thinking here? The only things that I can come up with are Tracy used to play with Jackson so maybe he knows him or something stupid, or Tracy was pretty good one year 5 years ago. Maybe he'll recapture that. But batting Tracy ahead of good hitters who are hitting well makes no sense.
