    this is something i very rarely speculate on, but my gut feeling is that there are serious leadership problems in vancouver. they have way too much talent to just get slammed aside like this. they tend to whine more than other teams and resort to cheap play quickly. seems like there's a lack of accountability starting from the top. i don't have anything to base this on, which kind of makes it a dumb post, but that's just the feeling i get. losing 2 straight games in a row like that at home is straight up embarrassing. I can kind of see this. I mean, their coach was whining about the officiating from last year before the series even started. Talk like that kind of sets a tone. The series isn't over but Vancouver really does seem to quit quickly. (Quick disclaimer. I'm drunk so if I say something stupid let it slide).

    The Hawks have played very good third period defensive hockey when they have had the lead in the third. If they do it again tonight that would be nice.

    It's funny to think you can bitch about the refs after we just got 2 seperate 5 on 3's, but there were definitely 1-2 obvious penalties missed there on Vancouver and the penalty on Hossa was iffy at best. I know it. I'm still pissed about that mugging Buff took in front of the net when they only called the DOG. That could have been a major. That last goal was a bite, but still, up two with 20 left on the road with the chance to really put the screws to these bums? I'll take it. I'm shocked that there wasn't a 5-on-2 for the Hawks there. I wish that were possible because it would be awesome.

    Pretty awesome to see them get outplayed for two periods in a tough environment and get a win (most likely). Am I too greedy asking for a 3-1 lead coming home :)

    To my not very trained eye he seems to make some good defensive plays but then makes some dumb players that a veteran shouldn't be making. HOSSA!!!!

    because once the scrum starts they probably all could be called for something...so they just sent the player who went out of his way to instigate the whole thing The play I'm talking about there wasn't really a scrum, it was just the Vancouver guy sitting on Toew's face.

    I understand the penalty but why didn't the Canucks get one when they were shoving Toew's face into the ice at the end of a play?
