  1. Even with all that, only down 12. They don't really deserve to win this one but it's another sign that they're so close.
  2. 14 point first half. Ugh.
  3. A couple of sites/people on there have Iowa in. Weird.
  4. Kind of think the streak ends tonight. A rivalry game on the road is going to be tough.
  5. I love how easy he makes that dunk look.
  6. I love the home Cubs uniforms. I like the logo but I'm not in love with it. I don't hate the road uniforms but I wouldn't be mad with a change. I kind of liked the red brimmed road hat. I kind of miss it.
  7. If they somehow won out (10-8 with a win AT Indiana) they wouldn't need 2. If they go 9-9 they need 2 to be in the discussion, probably get to the championship to get in. Yesterday was soul-crushing. This whole season has been soul crushing. The only thing that helps keep it from being worse is the fact that expectations weren't incredibly high, still, there's so much "what could have been" from this team.
  8. I [expletive] hate college basketball.
  9. This season's going to be disappointing if we don't, at least, make the finals now.
  10. What a stretch against a good (but admittedly fading team). Kind of with they didn't get into the 21-5 hole just so they could have won by 30-40 points. But if that's your only complaint, your team had a good game.
  11. I agree that Iowa is not in at 9-9 unless maybe one of those wins was at Indiana (yeah, no) or they take two in the BTT with one of those wins being over a good team. I'll take a 21 point win over Minnesota today though.
  12. He's not untouchable, LeBron is very much in the conversation. That said he's not quite at Jordans level, at least yet. Of course, but how close is LeBron to Jordan, when Jordan was at the same point in his career?
  13. I try to be open minded about Michael Jordan and the GOAT thing. There is a mythos to him that he can't be touched and I don't want to be restricted to thinking that and I'm honestly still learning NBA basketball, what is it about MJ that makes him untouchable, even to a guy as good as LeBron? LeBron has accomplished a lot at his age and he does seem to be more of a distributor, despite his abilities, than Jordan ever was so I do find it hard to compare the two statistically.
  14. They didn't really come all that close. They went to the Finals, that's close to me. Granted the East was weak and they got swept.
  15. They we, but part of mjs lore is 6 finals, 6 titles, 6 finals MVPs. I agree. Until LeBron gets a lot more rings people won't say he's better but as an avid Bulls fan who has a lot of nostalgia for MJ (big portion of my childhood) I still say that's unfair to LeBron.
  16. I'm still impressed with what he did with those Cav's teams. He came so close to winning a title nearly by himself in a team sport because those rosters were pretty awful, aside from him.
  17. Jordan's clearly threatened by LeBron. It is kind of pathetic but I imagine certain things do go into the mental makeup of someone as elite as MJ was. I'm starting to accept that LeBron may very well be the best player ever by the time it's over and I'm going to enjoy watching it.
  18. The Iowa/Illinois game could be pretty meaningful, as far as the tournament goes. Unless you count the BTT game last year as meaningful, than it's been a while since we've played a meaningful game. That could be a lot of fun.
  19. Woo hoo, Iowa didn't choke against Penn State. Almost did, but didn't.
  20. I guess the goal wasn't completely off when it crossed. I guess. I'd be pissed if I was a Ducks fan. Ugh, 5 on 3.
  21. Shouldn't the Duck player obviously knocking the goal loose be a penalty. And Goal?! Didn't expect that one.
  22. How about Illinois and Minnesota play well enough to both be ranked at the end of the season even with losses to Iowa, Iowa finishes 10-8 and the Big 10 gets 8 in?
  23. How are they so good?
  24. I hate Wisconsin but it's possible now that Iowa has a win over a team who is ranked. I'm still holding out hope. I'm just thankful that Iowa put a team away though Northwestern blows.
  25. A 3-3 road trip with our crippled roster isn't too bad (assuming we win).
