Events: 1) Bridgestone NHL Fastest Skater 2) Scotiabank NHL Fan Fav Breakaway Challenge 3) Upper Deck YoungStars Game 4) McDonald’s Accuracy Shooting 5) Cisco Hardest Shot 6) Gatorade NHL Elimination Shoot Out ----------------------------------------- Youngstars Game Rules: • Three on three. • Three six minute periods. • All NHL Playing Rules (the “Rules”) shall apply except where superseded by these rules • There will be one faceoff to start each period and the game clock will run continuously unless a penalty shot is called. Stop time for final minute of play in each period. • After goals, the team that scored must concede puck possession and all three players must retreat to their defensive side of center ice. Once all three players clear centre the goalie who was scored upon puts the puck into play when signaled by the referee. • If the puck leaves the Playing surface, a new puck will be immediately provided to the team that did not last touch the puck before it left the playing surface. • When a scoring chance results in the puck being frozen, all 3 players on the offensive team must clear the blue line before they can attack. • A violation of the Rules which would normally result in a penalty will result in a penalty shot being awarded to the non-offending team. • A violation of the Rules which would not normally result in a penalty, such as offside or icing, will result in surrendering puck possession to the non-offending team. • Penalty shots will be taken in accordance with the Rules except that if no goal is scored, play will be “live” immediately after the penalty shot is taken. Tie Situation • If the teams are tied after three periods there will be sudden death two on two play for one minute. If still tied then sudden death one on one play starts until a goal is scored.
