Why? Even if it works, I'm complaining. Yeah right. Yeah so, I'm the first to call out decisions that are bad even if they work We hadn't scored since what? The 3rd inning? Sorry, but that was not a bad decision, it was bad execution. Kendall couldn't execute the bunt, and then he couldn't execute with the runners moving. It's that simple. Why would you send the tying run with 0 outs in the 9th when he's already in scoring position. It makes no sense. so you don't need a hit to tie it up? But I hated the call. Valverde is a strikeout pitcher. Fontenot isn't fast. Too much risk. Sucks it didn't work out.

The only thing keeping the Cubs in first right now is the utter collapse of the Brewers. Of course, the only thing keeping the Brewers and Cards in striking distance is the Cubs' crappy play. Have we really played that crappy lately? Before this series, we had one the last two. We still might win this one. :D maybe my optimism is rubbing off on someone!

You haven't been around this team long, have you? Since 2002. Most of the current Cubs haven't been around that long either. The only point I had is that it's very annoying to see someone make sure everyone knows how optimistic they are during every single game no matter what's happening. You can say bad things about the Cubs, they won't hate you. I'm optimistic but not as much as you think. Kinda funny how this whole issue started with me simply saying...lol you guys are funny. Because it's a running posting theme with you and it can't help but often come across as being very mocking of people here. Very good point and I can understand how it could be bothersome. If I'm offending anyone, I apologize.

The players make up the team. Just because past teams have failed doesn't mean this unit will too. Yeah talent wise they don't look too good compared to other teams but that doesn't mean they are going to fail because they are the "Cobs".

I don't see how this is a give away game. Jones has been pretty damn good in the 2 hole. Lee and Ramirez are still in the lineup.
