That's a tad over-board. The truth is never over-board. Why would you defend such a comment unless deep down, you know you say the same dumb things yourself? I bet if Fukudome told the reporter "Well, I'm not going to challenge him to a crawfish eating contest" people wouldn't overreact quite as much. i find it equally as funny... why must everyone and everything we say be neutral, watered-down, and leak-proof? sensitivity has run amok

I don't think the Rangers are in any hurry to give up Young, and unfortunately, I don't think the Cubs see SS as a position of need. it is too bad...i don't know where else the cubs could actually trade for a SS, if they were even looking... i still think we should try to pull something off with boston for lowrie

since they are teammates, and we aren't, there is no way to know he wasn't saying it to his teammates, he was saying it to the media, who then print/show it. but good thing asians can only read numbers right? wow, i think this whole situation is being taken a little bit too seriously

Awesome. I hate Milwaukee, the city is a POS. Their fans are annoying and unrealistic. However, once Fielder, Braun, and Hart leave for better money they'll be back to worthless for another 18 seasons until they scrounge a winning season again. Then their fans will be back... Diehard Brewer fans are just as clueless as casual Cub fans. They think every minor leaguer they have will be an All-Star, and rarely follow the other teams in the division. :rotfl: Are you laughing or crying? You'll be good for a few years, but you have to know Fielder, Braun and Hart are all history once they reach free agency, and probably before. That's why I don't hate the Brewers. They'll never sustain success like the Cardinals. Fielder, probably. Only because of Boras. Hart, I would put money on him staying long term. The Brewers have already talked about a long term extension for Braun. This isn't the $40 million payroll Brewers, plus you can't assume there won't be more new talent coming to replace possible loses considering how well the Brewers have drafted and developed under Executive of Year Jack Zduriencik. Sure, they can't keep everyone, but don't kid yourself into thinking they are all gone soon. In other words, i'm laughing. your handle makes me think of "Dazed and Confused"

Back to the topic at hand, barring injury, I see no reason to add Crisp to this team. i have nothing to really add to this thread except to say that i didn't know those two were gone and i will miss them...especially meph...he had a certain charm

Thanks! :D :D you realize that if cedeno goes for BRob...then cintron will be severely needed right? Right now, that's a big if. True, but even if he doesn't, it's down to Cintron/Fontenot/Fuld for the last spot on the team. They already said that only one of Pie/Fuld will likely make the roster, so it's down to Cintron or Fontenot. Cintron probably takes it because of his flexibility. I'll cross that bridge when the trade actually happens. dude...in the roberts thread you have generally been optimistic...maybe with a little sarcasm thrown in...but slightly optimistic none-the-less...why the change of heart? I'm a beaten down man, what can I say. The BR thread will do that to you... only if you actually read it...stop doing that!
