    For as much as they have pestered us this season, I can't really sympathize with them 100% agreed. most definitely, as much as they bug me...i have nothing against the team really i mean, yes, the world's largest man and the pretty boy cousin of derek jeter bother the piss out of me, but other than that...meh... i hope he is alright, sheets that is, because the man was having a stellar year I think you should re-read my post oh wow...that was pathetic...although, in my defense, i did just wake up from a nap a little while ago and have only had one sip of coffee :blush:

    Where the heck do they want to go, Fiji? Let's face it, with a good chunk of the US getting slammed with rain and other teams having to play their games, the options are really limited. no doubt, plus they have to know they have a great track record against us this season...it doesn't matter where we play...they we still probably take two...i don't care if it is in chicago... suck it up houston

    That makes sense, but trying to fly another team into the city to play does not. What's the status of Houston? I would hope that a major league organization could assist in arranging transportation and accommodations for families as well as players if evacuation is urged. totally agree...we aren't talking some college series here, this is professional baseball...surely they can arrange to get their families out of there...probably should have already started doing it...or maybe they are all just hard-headed and riding it out together...whatever...things will be as they will be and it will all work out alright

    This is moronic. Wood has shown all year that when he's used reguarly he's one of the most effective closers in the game. His last two appearances, which took place over the course of a full week, were shaky, yet he still got the job done in one of them. Last night he gave up hits to one of the best hitters in the game and a guy having a career year offensively. He still locked it down besides them and the team won. The blown save against the Reds he arguably "got out of" by inducing a juicy DP groundball that was bobbled, and that on a day where he hadn't pitched in almost a week. Wood has been fantastic. I understand but this is an emotional knee jerk reaction, I have never been a fond supporter of Wood. If he wins great, I support his effort, but I think the Cubs have a closer of the future in Marmol.

    they can come to clearwater and play in the threshers stadium here... i will put up those cubs that would like to be around a fan all weekend...actually i would probably only want dero, theriot, harden, z, and edmonds

    i burned both my batting practice cap and my road cap last night i must say that the batting practice cap really blazed!

    i just think the mets match up well with the brewers... plus, the mets have been playing pretty good ball since the break and they will remember last year...honestly, i am not really basing it off any numbers, just gut feeling
