    Still really pulling for the Daytona Cubs to shift to the Carolina League. Would love to be able to catch some minors games at Potomac next year, although according to that list every team there is locked in til 2014. Womp womp.

    Very exciting stuff from both pieces. Isn't that report on Peralta's speed contrary to what KG said recently? It's certainly very encouraging if that's what he's throwing these days. Nice to see the weight loss on Vogelbach's part.

    Would it really be that bad to shift Rizzo to a corner OF spot assuming Vogelbach is still hitting like a boss and can actually physically handle 1B?

    While it's now becoming more and more clear that his power and hitting abilities are legit, his weight and general overall shape is obviously still a problem. How hard would it be for the Cubs to essentially make him get more in shape? Do they have any ability to essentially tell him "go drop the damn pounds" or do they just lack the actual leverage to do that? Could they force him to go work out all winter?

    Can't help but chuckle at that. I've been giving him [expletive] about it on twitter for a couple days, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I'm surprised he got so butthurt, though. It's funny how he comes across as very sincere and nice on his podcast and then is just mostly a dick on twitter.
