    which is nothing compared to getting russell and mckinney for hammel and samardz You can pretty much exclude Hammel from that swap since we basically got him back via free agency anyway. Wasn't Dan Straily in that trade, also? well that'd be silly. we did in fact trade him and a half season of him. yeah, straily was in that deal. I might still like Strop and Arrieta for half a season of Scott Feldman more than all of them, tbh.

    I still sometimes think about the fact we got him, Grimm, N. Ramirez, AND CJ for just one half season of Garza and just laugh. Theo is pretty damn great at that whole trading thing.

    Is there a chance he might be forced to sell given this? I would imagine the possible fines/forfeitures/etc and potential costs of pending litigation could make the idea a more palatable one.

    So is this basically a result of him trying to doctor their books for their own lawsuit against the Cubs? If so, that is some sweet, sweet justice. Amazing. Should have sold your building before the Cubs lawyers found your dirt. This is getting ugly and I love it. This is absolutely magnificent.

    we don't get to have good cubs books like jonah keri's expos or rays book or billy beane's a's book. all our books suck and are fully of sappy romanticism of losing or meatballery about curses and crap or both. if anyone can prove me wrong i'd love to read an actual good cubs book. I think I'm gonna go beg Keri on twitter to write one.
