  1. How so? How not so? Cedeno has better on base skills than either of Blanco or Marquis and is hitting way better than either of those players at the present time (eg more XBH this spring than Marquis and Blanco combined). Cedeno isn't a world burner, but he's a better hitter than Marquis and Blanco. My point is he's a light hitter
  2. It's ST, I think Lou just wants to see what Ronny can do. He's still being considered for the utility position. Oh, I know why he was called to do it. But if someone's coming off the bench to bunt, it better be a pitcher. It depends. There are some times, late in games, when a bunt can be useful. Yes, and that's when you bring in a pitcher to bunt. A pitcher would be the first option but if Lou wanted to catch a team off guard, he wouldn't send a pitcher to do the job... Anyway, I'm not going to get excited about it in ST. I think it was just a matter of wanting to see if Ronny could execute it in a game situation.

  5. I'm pretty sure that Lee is one who has always mirrored his ST stats with his performance at the start of the season. Wasn't one of the things in 2005 was that he would get plenty of at-bats in ST to get hot before the season started so as to improve his April? He did that in 2005 and 2006, and he was pretty good at the start of both of those years. True
