correct. The scorekeeper is assuming the guy wouldn't have scored from 2nd on the ground ball, and since he retired the next guy as well, it's unearned. Thanks!

Lou has said that he'll stick with the productive hitters and no other middle infielder has been hotter than Riot. It's been obvious for a while; DeRosa taking grounders at SS was out of fear that he'd lose his starting job to Theriot.

Game Day says Lilly only gave up one earned run even though it doesn't show the Cubs committing an error. Are they counting the ball that scored on the groundout, after the pass ball, as unearned?

His concern is who produces and who doesn't. I honestly thought he'd give Izzy a little more time, but I'm not complaining about the move. Am I understanding right that he said in the postgame that Theriot's the new SS fulltime (or at least mostly)? Yes, he said Theriot will start at SS.
