  1. Onto the bottom of the 11th in Milwaukee, still tied.
  2. Even though I know wins are a useless stat, I always like to see them just because it looks nice. He's within a win of the NL leader.
  3. Lou looks really tired. Winning must take even more out of him than losing does.
  4. It's only one game, let's not get ahead of ourselves. But, if Marmol is doing well, Lou can get to stretch out Dempster and let him start. The rotation looks pretty full, for better or for worse.
  5. I don't think there's any doubt that it's Dempster's job. I love Marmol, but let's not forget how hard he tried to blow the lead last night.
  6. can you imagine if it becomes 30 straight sweeps? Fixed.
  7. I've said all along.... 84 wins. I'd be more than happy with it.
  8. Cubs win! Make it six straight wins! CUBS WIN! CUBS WIN!
  9. Brewers escape damage in the top of the 10th. Still 3-3.
  10. Marmol warming up to close the game. Don't make it interesting, Carlos. Please.
  11. People don't like Cubs leads being cut in half.
  12. On another note, anyone wanna define the expression "barn burner" for me? I've always been clueless as to it's meaning.
  13. He looked unflappable which is good to see for his first time out. If a plane had crashed outside of Wrigley, I doubt Petrick would have flinched.
  14. Hahahaha. I love the ba-ba-ba-baallllll game.
  15. First major league strikeout! Nice job, Billy.
  16. Way to throw a first pitch strike, Billy boy! Now let's pray for rain to end this game. Our bullpen may not always get the job done, but rain is foolproof.
