  1. 2004 was far more locked up, and we know what happened there.
  2. Sigh. I really thought we'd be up 2.5. That would've gotten our playoff chances up around 85%.
  3. A loss would be a real heart breaker.
  4. And there's another run for the Crew. This'll be a big win for them, the kind of win that can fuel a team to a division title. I've got a baaaaaad feeling...
  5. The pen's not up? Dude is at 111 pitches! I don't believe it was when I posted, but it is now.
  6. Could've been worse, but there's still no excuse to not have the pen going.
  7. The bullpen really should be up for Atlanta. I've got a bad feeling Fielder will be giving the Crew the lead right now.
  8. Damn it, Escobar smoked that ball. This'll be a tough inning with the top of the order up.
  9. My heart can't take us staying close. I've rather be up by 4.5 games at the end of the weekend and have the division all but won.
  10. Our thread on this game is bigger than the one at brewerfan.net.
  11. If the Brewers lose, our chances of losing the division become quite small.
  12. Again, I've never met a Brewers fan I liked. As much as they seem to take pride in calling us yuppy frat boy bandwagoners, I doubt many of them were following the team before this year. Pot. Kettle. Black.
  13. And if everything goes right in Atlanta, seven.
  14. Shocking, Dempster is being wasted in this game and will probably be ineffective tomorrow as a result of it.
  15. Cubs were up 0.5 games on the Giants and 2.5 games on the Astros with 8 games to play (and only 7 to play for the Astros). The Cubs were up 3 in the loss column at that point. That's really absurd. I mean, the Giants coming back would've seemed reasonable, but the Astros had no business reentering the race.
  16. What I'm really curious about; how many games were the Cubs up by with 8 games left in 2004?
