    you guys have to remember, that technically ozzie never said he would hit anybody. he just said he was "gonna do something about it." take it for what its worth, but saying you will hit someone and saying you are going to do something about it are 2 different things. and look at big dusty gettin tossed yesterday. i was sure, considering cedeno is a right hander that dusty would say he couldnt see the play from the dugout. :lol: :lol:

    Sorry, Pierre isnt below avg... nor is Jones. Rowand cant bat lead off... so I wouldnt want to give up Pierre to get him...On the other hand, Murton is below average... but he is also still in his first FULL year as a major leaguer.....so I am not ready to give up on him just yet unless it means getting a big name powerhitter to take his spot in left. Pierre's career OPS+ says otherwise. Pierre is mediocre at his very best. Jones, however, has a career OPS+ of 101, which is just barely above average, so you're right on that one. derrick lee is also a career .276 hitter. but that doesnt mean he isnt the .335 hitter he was last year and this year before the injury.

    If they got 2 sac bunts down and then a ball was hit to the middle infield that'd be 3 outs. sorry i didnt clarify, they had 1st and 2nd with no outs twice in the game, and they got a bunt down twice to move the runners to 2nd and 3rd with 1 out. and then both times there was a ground ball to the middle of the infield that scored the run. i am enjoying how crappy the sox have been playing lately. they have the worst offense in the AL since the break.

    looks like it paid off for them. they got 2 sac bunts down to move a runner to third, and the next batter hit a ground ball to the middle infielders that would probably have been a double play if the runners hadnt been moved over.

    not being able to put a successful sacrifice bunt down in key situations is something a little bigger than a mole hill. most teams would kill to have ozzie as their manager. ozzie won a freakin world series. as im sure many cubs fans, including myself, find his antics annoying all the time, he will always have a job. look at terrel owens in the NFL. the guy is a total headcase, yet no matter how many teams he leaves, he will always have a job because he is such a good player.
