  1. Seriously... that crap is obnoxious and lots of stadiums do it. And people complain about "Go Cubs, Go" If you had a stadium from this century instead of that dump, you would have fireworks and alot of other things that you don't have now.
  2. Your the ones who don't get it. It was a tight game and Sheets wanted to finish it. This pitch count thing has gotten out of hand. Do you talk in the thread everytime a guy goes over 100 pitches? I doubt it. Society has become so critical and now we live in the world where you are supposed to do as little as possible. When a guy wants to work more than others it is looked as a negative. As someone has pitched my entire life and still does at 32, I really don't see what the big deal is. But if he plays for a team you dislike everything can be looked at as negative I suppose. Just digging for ways to make yourself feel good?
  3. Zambrano's overworked too, but unlike what the Brewers are doing, the Cubs are pushing him back a couple days. They're also probably going to skip harden. And yes, Lincecum is overworked. We've established that. I'm sure there are other guys as well. Point is, that the Brewers are playing for October right now. Their odds are around 90% at making the playoffs at this point. We don't know if CC's poor playoff starts were due to a dead arm. But they could have been. That's why it's stupid to run him out there for the eighth and ninth today when you're beating the hapless Pirates 7-0 after seven innings. Because it could affect him come playoff time. Fair enough. I guess that is the chance they take and if CC didn't want to go out I am sure he would say so. It's not like they are forcing him out there. I think there is conversation and he wants to pitch. There is plenty of talk that goes on and he must win the battle between him and Ned. This isnt all on Ned. CC pushes for this as well. But I guess on your end you can hope he gets burnt out and that will be a benefit to the cubs. I agree it is useless but for whatever reason he goes back out there.
  4. So CC is over worked because he averages a few more pitches per game? The entire top 20 on the list averages over 100 per game. So my question is the same as before. How is he more overworked than the others on the list. But the two cubs on the list are not? And a cub just missed a start for a dead arm? So some stat says that he pitches more than others and that is why he is overworked? Give me a break. Whatever makes fans of other teams feel good I guess. Most of the pitchers on that list are just good and pitch deeper into games. Shame on them for pitching more than others. The media has totally brain washed people into thinking the arm can't pitch more than a 100 now. As for his playoff stats. Why is that deadarm? Maybe you just face really, really good competition and that has something to do with it?
  5. I think it's funny that people are so worried about CC's arm. It is basically something that the media has made up considering the way in which pitchers are pampered now. Hey had pitch counts of 97,122,110,106,124,109,103,114,130, and 96 since coming to the brewers. Before he came to the brewers he had counts of 100, 107,91,93,102,111,104,106,117,110,98,102,119,106,112,116,116, and 123. Just for fun I looked up some of Z's considering HE is the one with the dead arm. He had counts of 103,104,125,118,82,88,119,105,and 98 during the same period as CC. My point is that somehow CC is being talked about as being worked more than he needs. I could look up dozens of pitchers who have the same workload as CC. Heck, any pitcher who throws over 100 per start is considered overworked I guess. But for some reason he is the one talked about as getting worn down.. Just another media creation. There are alot of overworked pitchers out there if CC is. Take out his one game of 130 and he really is just another pitcher getting his work.
  6. With all the Fukudome bashing lately, how bad is it going to be when you have an aging Soriano and him in the outfield for years to come. I know you have alot of money but that is a bunch tied up in those two to go along with Aram, Lee, and Z as they all get a bit older here. But Fukudome would be really tough to watch everyday. I can't stand it and I only see a game here and there.
  7. Parra is going to be the real deal so acting like this is only becuase of the nationals offense is a little overboard. Yes they are bad but Parra is pretty darn good.
  8. This is why fans of other teams should not comment on things like this. How is Yost riding pitchers hard? CC and Sheets both have had reasonable pitch counts. I am not going to look up the exact numbers, but in CC's complete games he had 110 and 118 pitches. I guess if that is considered riding a pitcher hard, you just expect all pitchers to be treated like the injury riddled Harden. Some pitchers can actually pitch over 100 pitches got forbid. Give it a restand get some facts straight. Saying they will be tired at the end of the year?? I guess alot of pitchers are going to be tired seeing most go over 100 pitches during a start.
  9. Please do not attack other posters. Sorry. These are the people that generally troll and make crazy statements.. Every team has them and they just make the others look bad. I stand corrected.
  10. Ball and Glove. I would love it if supposed fans like you could learn to enjoy a win and stop your whining all the time. Do you realize you are complaining about Mota and Gagne for pitching well last night, during a win. Who was he supposed to put in for innings 6-8? If those two are on the roster, they are going to pitch, and they are going to pitch in a close games some times. They have to in order for the team to win. You clowns use the same answers for every game. Put in Villy. He can't pitch every bullpen inning or every game. Please just shut up and trying to find things that "could" have gone wrong. You are a pathetic fan really and have no clue how things are run.
