  1. Here comes a steady diet of breaking stuff.
  2. Good to see Glendon stayed in shape.
  3. Pitchers should only throw breaking stuff to Pagan.
  4. So was the Theriot leading-off thing a lie?
  5. Bring Rapada if you want a lefty reliever. Leave Marshall stretched out in case you need a starter. Piggy for LH reliever.
  6. Floyd went around, West didn't need to ask for help. And why is it disgraceful that he tossed Floyd? He followed Floyd back to the dugout, then tossed him. Floyd was complaining and yelling the whole time and probably had some choice words for West. And West didn't follow him all the way back to the dugout. West made the right call. Floyd complained. Floyd got tossed. Plain and simple. Which game are you watching? He followed him back to the dugout. Plain and simple. Like I said: West made the right call, Floyd complained, Floyd got tossed. It's not rocket science. He followed him part way because Floyd was complaining. Floyd had no business arguing that call. So he did follow him? I just want to get it correct.

  8. The speculation is Marmol. That was more our advice than what's inside Lou's head. Actually, no it wasn't. It is the conjecture of both Offman and David Shuster. Both have a spotty track record -- at best; but they suggested it.
  9. Marmol's been moved to the pen.
  10. Pagan is 1 for 2 against Hamels, with a HR.
  11. I like his WHIP of 3.10 and his BAA of .420.
  12. According to The Trib, the two had a meeting sans Rosenhaus this evening.
  13. MLB Traderumors...really?
  14. I take it Gallagher's shoulder is fine?
  15. So, is there no MLB.TV today? I see the 350k, but it is greyed out.
  16. Ultimately, you want to start the year with the best possible team. If Lou doesn't deem Guzman rotation worthy, he certainly has been the 6th best pitcher--able to pitch multiple innings. Right now he's the perfect fit for the long reliever role. Considering Neal Cotts is the alternative, Guzman is a no brainer. IMO, both Guzman and the team are better served by him pitching to ML hitters. If Marquis or Miller "falters" Guzman will have plenty of opportunities to pitch. So is it about fielding the best team possible, or preparing Guzman? How often is he going to get work in if he's the longman? Once a week, once every two weeks? Thanks for pointing out my misspelling of falter.
