  1. Here you go: http://www.jonmdavis.net/chiefs/johnsonpickoff.mpeg
  2. Not handy right now, but I was wearing a Cubs home hat and my Zambrano jersey t-shirt. And yeah, depending on the size. Oh yeah, I saw you walking around all over the place. You looked confused LOL. I didn't even see you with a camera. Anyways, my video is about 8 MB. That's too much, no? Confused, eh? I'm always confused. If it was before the game, I was probably waiting up front by the dugout and trying to keep busy by looking around. Didn't help much. 8 MB is fine. Can you email it? If so, send it to Jon at JonMDavis.net (I took out the @ for security reasons/automated spiders searching for email addresses). And if I don't have to hear Sponge Bob Squarepants again, I'll be quite happy.
  3. I didn't hear any mention of them being auctioned off.
  4. Not handy right now, but I was wearing a Cubs home hat and my Zambrano jersey t-shirt. And yeah, depending on the size. BTW, when they showed the Cubs game, like the only two plays were of the first two batters of the game and then Barrett's DP the next inning.
  5. Video time. Here's closeup footage of Johnson warming up. I'm pleased with how it turned out, especially since I've never used that feature before (12.1 mb): http://www.jonmdavis.net/chiefs/johnsonpregame.mpg Here's the view from my seat of one pitch (3.7 mb). I have a longer clip of the same quality at about 30 mb, but I won't put it up unless people want it: http://www.jonmdavis.net/chiefs/johnsongame1.mpg
  6. Yeah, I did. I don't think it was a coach, though. The guy was wearing Alberto Garcia's jersey, so he was probably an outsider. He did look old, though, so I'm not sure. And man could that guy shake it.
  7. ARGH. Of course it was right after I left. The 9-1-2 spots were due up in the 5th and I wanted to see one more AB from Eric and Harvey. Eric popped up to end the inning and I agreed to go instead of waiting through what could have been another 25 minute half-inning. DANGIT. No, they're both of the game. One is of Johnson pitching during the game, but I was sitting far away and the quality isn't good. The other video clip is up close footage of Johnson warming up. Turned out pretty good.
  8. When did you get there? That's one long day. Yeah, Patterson showed pretty good range just to get to that ball. The leadoff HR off of Johnson was a bomb. Well over the scoreboard in left. Really rough outing. I'll blame the mound conditions. Someone forgot to cover up the bullpen mound until about 5:45, so it was terrible when Johnson was warming up. What inning was the Harvey HR?
  9. Stupid server wouldn't let me login. Anyways, here are the pics. Some are of decent quality, others are poor. I have a bunch of other poor pics that I may try to fix up later. Eric Patterson signing autographs before the game (thanks to me, by the way. I waited a long time by the railing for Eric to come out of the clubhouse and into the dugout. I yelled over to him and asked if he could sign a few autographs because there were other people waiting in the rain for over an hour with me. He seemed happy to. Nice guy.): http://www.jonmdavis.net/chiefs/1.jpg Eric Patterson, Joseph Simokaitis, and Sam Fuld: http://www.jonmdavis.net/chiefs/2.jpg Warmups: http://www.jonmdavis.net/chiefs/3.jpg Luis Montanez and Ryan Harvey: http://www.jonmdavis.net/chiefs/4.jpg Eric Patterson: http://www.jonmdavis.net/chiefs/5.jpg Eric Patterson: http://www.jonmdavis.net/chiefs/6.jpg Grant Johnson: http://www.jonmdavis.net/chiefs/7.jpg Grant Johnson: http://www.jonmdavis.net/chiefs/8.jpg Grant Johnson: http://www.jonmdavis.net/chiefs/9.jpg Grant Johnson: http://www.jonmdavis.net/chiefs/10.jpg Grant Johnson: http://www.jonmdavis.net/chiefs/11.jpg Grant Johnson: http://www.jonmdavis.net/chiefs/12.jpg Eric Patterson: http://www.jonmdavis.net/chiefs/13.jpg Eric Patterson at the plate: http://www.jonmdavis.net/chiefs/14.jpg Ryan Harvey at the plate: http://www.jonmdavis.net/chiefs/15.jpg Eric Patterson and Joseph Simokaitis: http://www.jonmdavis.net/chiefs/16.jpg Bo Flowers and a pic of some ugly, ugly uniforms (white shoes...): http://www.jonmdavis.net/chiefs/17.jpg 2 videos to follow, but it'll take a while to upload them. Everyone should enjoy the first clip.
  10. My goodness that was terrible. Obviously, I left in the middle of the game (after EPatt's 3rd AB when it was 15-0). Johnson just had nothing, as you can see from Serena's PBP, especially considering he retired one batter on a great diving catch by Fuld and got his 6th and final out on a pickoff. The radar gun was worthless. Fuld's catch in the 1st was very nice, but the defense was downhill from there. EPatt had a throwing error on a play in which he ranged very far to his left but threw the ball wide to first. Rick tried to prevent it from going into the dugout, but he couldn't stop his slide before touching the top step, so the runner from first scored and the batter was awarded third. Simokaitis looked to have very nice range despite there being all of about three ground balls. Eric has pretty nice bat speed and his swing is pretty level. Harvey has a powerful swing but went down swinging in his first AB at a ball in the dirt. Both Harvey and Montanez made nice running catches. Got there at 4:00 and the tarp was on the field. I watched Blevins and another pitcher throw in the 'pen. Obviously no BP (which did not make me happy). Then the rain delay. I saw just one Chiefs hit and I believe 18 Cougars hits...through 5 and a half. I must say that it was weird to be able to watch up to 6 different fireworks shows at the same time while on I-88 and I-294. And it sucks that I missed a Harvey bomb... I'll have pictures and even video of Johnson warming up later.
  11. Yeah, I saw that this morning. The KCC webcast is decent. I've listened to their broadcast several times when they played Peoria b/c the volume is actually fine.
  12. The weather forecast doesn't look good. Right now, the severe t-storm warnings are for Cook and Lake counties. Hopefully it manages to stay as far north as possible.
  13. And he went to a coastal California school. Don't hate, Jon. Don't hate on us Californian econ majors who played CF. I'll take Stanford Jr. in the midwest any day. It's all about the weather. And it's imporant to note that Fuld PLAYS CF. You PLAYED CF.
  14. Sam Fuld is just on fire now, too. 15-game hitting streak, and I think they said he was 14 for his last 27. He and Eric are making a nice combo for the Chiefs at the top of the lineup right now. There was an feature article on him yesterday in the Peoria paper. Fuld caught the first pitches when Holden was in Peoria; he was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes when he was 10. Huh. Didn't know that. Nice article. Fuld plays center field and majored in econ? What a loser...
  15. Thanks for the heads up. Can't wait to see Grant. And easy on the homeruns, Richy.
  16. I waited until less than a week ago, so I have reserve seats back and down the line a bit. Kinda deep third base.
  17. Ever been to the stadium in Geneva? Eric with a another double and another run scored. Harvey drove him in with an RBI single.
  18. The Chiefs blow it open. 9-3 after Larsens bases loaded, 2-run double. Harvey singled to load the bases and Patterson walked.
  19. Eric has a single, a sac fly, a stolen base, a double, and a run scored. It'll be nice to see Eric tomorrow night on a hot streak. An error on the CFer let a run score on that double. Harvey drives him home with an RBI single. Sisk goes to third on a basehit and error. Harvey scores. 4 unearned runs in the inning, 5-1 score.
  20. Sweet. Thanks. I missed the interview by a few minutes. Bases loaded with nobody out and they get just one. Harvey grounds into the 5-4-3 DP to end the inning.
  21. Hey. No indirect booing. Nice play by Walker.
  22. Mitre's loose and is getting sink, so hopefully we won't see any hanging curves.
  23. First career matchup between the two, I believe.
