  1. The new strategery for pitching to Soriano: Throw 3 curveballs in the dirt 3 feet in front of the plate and watch him swing at all 3.
  2. Nah, ESPN was just messing with you. ESPN has made box score mistakes before......
  3. ESPN's box score shows that Marquis hit a HR. Is that right?
  4. :OverMy Head: A little help here? http://ohnolookoutitsaraygun.com/argh-Picard.jpg
  5. "Making" the playoffs is not the ultimate goal. My concern is not about making the playoffs, because we will. My concern is with how crappy they're playing in getting there the last 3 weeks. This is pitiful. At this rate, we're going to get swept out of the playoffs just like last year, after this great season. there is no 'this rate' because it is impossible they will play this bad getting into the playoffs I mean yeah if they are on a 0-30 run going into october I'm with you but that will never happen. How about if they're 8-22 or so heading into the playoffs? Would we have cause for concern? Do you really think they're going to go 8-22 the rest of the way? I don't expect it, but we do have a few rough series coming up.
  6. Thanks for the deep outing, Ted. Hopefully Lieber will stop the bleeding.

  9. He's teh Cub Killa. Dude hit 3 HR's off us in a single game earlier this season, if I remember right.
  10. Thank goodness our bats got off to a rip-roaring start tonight.
  11. GEOFF SOAPDROPPING BLUM. DIAF, Blum. D-bag.
  12. Ummm....where the F was that pitch at, ump?
  13. DP Derrek up to bust this one up.
  14. You have to adjust to what the ump is calling. Can't just let him stand back there and call you out looking all freaking game long, even if they are bad calls. And give the pitcher his easy efficient outs all game because you're making weak contact on pitchers pitches? No, thank you. So, the K's aren't easy, efficient outs? Putting the ball in play will at least give the runners a chance at advancing (if there are runners on board). Its not about learning bad habits. Its about doing what it takes to give yourself a chance to win when the ump is giving the opposing pitchers calls in a certain area that isn't normally a strike.

  16. that they should swing at it and make weak contact? screw that. Indeed. Striking out is much better.
  17. Too bad we used up all our options with him already, I believe.
  18. This is what our guys get for leaving so many on base. 8 hits and one freaking run, versus 5 hits and 3 runs. Eff this.
  19. I think I've only seen it once. I believe it was against the guy that is on ESPN's Baseball Tonight team now.
