    I'm gonna go crazy outside-the-box and say I wouldn't mind seeing Edwards get a shot. He's not going to be a starter and the learning curve for pitchers isn't that steep. Let's start raking in the value before his arm gives up. this isn't the worst idea i've heard today

    I find the "on pace" argument to be meaningless. The Cubs have played a series of games that were close in the late innings. That won't always be the case. There will be stretches later in the season where the opposite happens and you can rest them then. Win the game in front of you. what a ridiculous argument. burning them out now damages them in the near term, long before the convenient-to-your-argument stretch of low-leverage games
