  6. It's probably more likely that he doesn't wanna answer questions about Brandon than that he doesn't wanna answer questions about himself. He doesn't care what anyone says about him.
  7. If you think this isn't bitching out, I don't know what to tell you. There's a reason why this guy hasn't been more successful and this is part of it. I tried to look past it and have been a Cutler fanboy for years blaming the offensive line, poor receivers, incompetent offensive coaching, but when stuff starts to go bad, you finally start to see stuff that others (national media, former teammates, anonymous sources) have seen before. It really stinks seeing one of your favorite Bears of all time become "who they thought he was". I really hope there's a good reason for him not to show up, and even if there's not, I'm sure the Bears spin control will come up with something (fake injury treatment or something) to make him look good. And, this year's performance doesn't mean the guy can't turn it around and he still has the talent to be a top 10 or Super Bowl winning QB, but he's in his 10th year and it's hard to see that happening, which sucks. He hasn't been a success because he's not gonna be on the radio?
  8. We warned them about not vaccinating! And now Tom Waddle has to pay the price.
  9. Unless he or his family is hospitalized, he is being a complete bitch about this. [expletive] him. It's great to go on the radio and slap ass with Tom Waddle when you win, but you lose in horrifying fashion and can't man up to be on the show? [expletive] him. This tells me a lot of what I need to know about his character and leadership. He's laughing all the way to the bank. Good thing we didn't have the option to franchise him with nearly no downside. Oh wait... http://24.media.tumblr.com/e48acd4c34a62200a81df7259ab31d57/tumblr_n2kygg41US1rzgx44o1_400.gif
  10. Most of that has happened pretty recently too, right? Seems like going into the Jets game I looked at the sack numbers, and they were pretty ok.
  11. When the coach keeps saying it though, it validates them talking about it.
  12. But it's more than one play. Jared Allen has been talking about how much he hates defending the read option: There's too much read option being played now to have guys that can't play it. And to announce the media that you can't play it? Every read option team is licking their lips.
  13. Fully agree here. And he could stand to change up a few. He should've let the "hotsauce" go when Korver left, imo. He pulled out a "does anyone know how to post videos to facebook" last night...when I barely remember the original commercial he's referencing now.
  14. Huh, I guess I'll watch for that, but I feel like they do a good job of pointing out that the Bulls "got away with one" when a call isn't made correctly, or saying "you just can't foul in that situation" when the Bulls foul in a dumb spot. And I really can't think of any "the refs are out to get the Bulls" type comments from either Funk or King, but it's definitely possible I've just not seen it....I'm not the most diligent regular season viewer.
  15. What the heck is fun about it? When I think homers I think Yankees and White Sox broadcasts and they are awful. There's nothing fun about an announcer that is detached from reality and incapable of providing rational and accurate descriptions of play. Stacey King doesn't provide inaccurate analysis, and he's critical of Bulls players when they make mistakes. He's is over the top when something good happens.
  16. Yeah, Blackhawks were the last team to win at Soldier. That was the Dolphins. Gah...wording.
  17. Yeah, Blackhawks were the last team to win at Soldier.
  18. FWIW, Kyle Long is backtracking on his comments from yesterday.
  19. At least Brady won't be running read-option. The Bears have no idea how to defend it.
  20. Smart. Learned from the NFL.
  21. DJ Williams did that too, and had a sure interception clock him in the side of the head.
  22. I don't usually pick games, because I'm terrible at it...and I still won't pick a score. But everyone will pick the Bears to lose this, so I definitely think they're gonna win it. Nobody can figure out this team, and this is gonna be another one of those we're gonna be scratching our heads wondering why we can beat this team and not the stupid Dolphins.
  23. I agree 100%. I think Trestman may be in over his head. After last year, I kind of had him pegged as an offensive (no pun intended) version of Lovie. Now, he seems like a B- version of Lovie - at least Lovie's defenses were elite. We're consistently seeing a team that doesn't appear to be prepared on a week to week basis. Honestly, at times it doesn't look like they are playing hard. They didn't pick up the fumble in the Packers game last year or against the Panthers this year, and the tackling attempts after Jay's interception yesterday were pitiful. It doesn't seem like they have a culture of accountability on the team. Speaking of which, why is Shea McClellin getting his starting job back after an injury? How exactly has he earned that? He looked like he was drunk out there. Just awful. I'm not gonna rant about the defense, bad as it might be, because I really expected so little. The defensive line has improved from last year...but the secondary is atrocious. But yeah, I agree with you about accountability. Everybody seems to get their starting jobs back whether they deserve it or not, and that's pretty dismaying. It seems like they value "chemistry" too highly. Seems like a very Trestman thing to value. Ultimately, I agree with you about Trestman. I've been a believer/defender until this week. But he's gonna have to win me back, cuz I'm not drinking the kool aid anymore.
