    I can go full meatball on occasion...I think most of us can in the heat of the moment, but I really don't know how people have the energy to do it for 162 games. I mean, at least a few of those losses you think you'd just say "Oh well, not our game...get em tomorrow" Negativity tires me.

    Nervous for game 1 on the road? I dunno...I'm not. I'll be honest, I'm having a hard time with believing the Lightning actually have a shot in this series. I think the Hawks are a much better team. If I were a braver man, I'd predict a sweep. As it is, I'll say Hawks in 5.

    That's still arbitrary. Then...what isn't? Well, in some sense you're always making an arbitrary decision as to when to begin if you make a blanket statement like that. For example, if you're analyzing Pujols performance to predict the remainder of the year, would it make more sense to look at his career or to attempt to do a weighted trend of his last three years of performance? Any blanket statement of when to begin and end all analysis is going to be arbitrary. In another sense, I like watching N&G's head explode. Yeah, I deleted my post, cuz I realized it was more about that last bit.

    Last night's stroll around the bases by Castro on his HR demonstrates that he still doesn't get it. His problem is still lack of concentration, whether it's in the field, running the bases or at the plate. 12 errors already in 2 months. Joe isn't going to slam him, because it would hurt his trade value. But how many managers and coaches are we going to go thru before we stop pandering to him?     Man, you nailed it with the hurricane bit. I always felt like they just needed a good renovation in their stores...more than changing the signage...the floors, shelving, checkouts, layout...the whole bit. Sears actually has the same feel.
