I got to meet Dorothy last night, the 90-year old Jägermeister drinking fan. She was quite the popular person. She seemed to enjoy it but her daughter wasn't too thrilled. -
I had a dream last night where Chapman struck out some Indians schmuck to win Game 7 of the World Series. It seemed real so I choose to believe it wasn't a dream but that I actually saw into the future. Win, Cubs.

Most bars here are charging stupid covers or table minimums. We got into Murphy's around 10:30am and it was already about half full. They took pretty much all the tables & chairs out. Huge line to get in now.

Those odds seem ridiculously high. Prop bets are usually sucker bets because odds are rarely good. That almost seems like a mistake. I would've guessed 10-1 tops. Doubt you can still bet those odds. On ESPN 1000, Tom Waddle just made a $100 bet on that prop. Just put $50 on it. So close to $2,000. :banghead:

I also think that he might be saving Contreras in case Schwarber comes up to face Miller. Given his rust and his numbers against lefties last year, it might make sense to PH for Contreras (or Soler). But of course if you PH the DH spot, you lose the DH spot for the game and need to PH there the rest of the game or hit with the pitcher. Hence having 2 quality bats off the bench in Willy and Georgie. The DH rule is so dumb.

Murphy's has made it clear that they are not charging a cover, FWIW. But I did hear the Cubby Bear was charging a $100 cover last Saturday. That's not the info I'm getting. My dad actually called Murphy's and they said no cover as of now, but not out of the question.
