  1. And you are an idiot. PERIOD! I will absolutely NOT blame Dusty Baker for this if it happens. That man gave all the opportunities in the world to Ronny Cedeno. He fricking GAVE him the job outright, and told him to relax. What does Ronny do? He lays eggs at the plate and commits 4 errors in the field in the spring! He doesn't deserve the job if he's going to commit errors like that. I want Ronny to succeed badly. Awesome skills, and a lot of potential. But I want to win too. And let's just get this straight now. NEIFI. PEREZ. IS. NOT. THAT. BAD! Now shut up and learn a little bit about baseball.
  2. I am guessing that Dusty said that Pagan is ahead of the foodchain over Grissom, and that Marquis knew his hammy couldn't handle it anymore. Still, classy move by Marquis.
  3. I'm not quite sure how trading Wellemeyer to the Marlins is indicative of the team's desire to win. But it's a good thing they won't be tempted to keep him around just based ono his options status. I hate when teams make personel decisions based on non-baseball factors. Todd has some interesting stuff, but he walks far too many, and gets rocked from time to time. Good luck to him. Hopefully one of these guys can turn into a reliever down the road. With Florida trading for so many prospects, I could actually see them start trading some of these guys for players like Wellemeyer (minimum wage guys with major league experience). I said that because this team's cutting the obvious trash right out the gate, and not doing stupid things like keep someone around because of running out of options. That's indicative of a different franchise attitude. Wellemeyer looked abysmal all spring. He needed to go.
  4. Well I think this team means business now! Todd Wellemeyer was traded to Florida today for two minor leaguers. http://www.cubs.com I guess this means we're not going to keep the garbage around. Looks like this team really wants to win.
