Here's an extract from today's Baltimore Sun WHO'S HOT Corey Patterson // Still fighting for the starting center-field job, Patterson entered in the sixth as a pinch hitter and had two singles. In the eighth inning, he stole his team-leading sixth base of the spring. He had been 1-for-15 at the plate heading into the game. WHO'S NOT Luis Matos // Not a good day with the bat for Matos. Leading off the game, he grounded out to the pitcher - his most productive at-bat. He hit into double plays the next two times and then struck out in the eighth with two outs and Patterson in scoring position. Oh, and the guys he is competing with in center went a combined 6-for-6.
