Such sensitive Cardinal fans we have here on the forum. Why don't you ladies try the stltoday forum. Everyone over there is stroking your boy Pujols off. What do you think is going to be said on a Chicago Cub forum? It wasn't good enough that I said he was one of the best hitters of all-time, you had to take to his defense that he is a "great" gold glove caliber defensive 1st baseman as well. Get a life card fans, the guy is average in the field. As much as you want his defensive abilities to be at the level of DLee, Helton or Casey its never going to happen.

Cubbie blue tint huh? That must be similar to STLoserdenial. Enough man, I told you the guy is the best hitter in the national league and all of baseball. Just accept the fact that he is average in the field. He is not a future gold glover unless the voters buy into the marketing and hype that MLB is pouring his way. After the steriod era they needed someone to market as the next great "complete" player. Anyone that has followed baseball for the last I don't know....50 years knows that he is the best hitter in the game that has to play somewhere. Take off your red tinted shades and take him for what he is.....one of the best hitters of all-time.

The only way Albert will win a gold glove at first base is if DLee and the rest of the NL use ping pong paddles instead of gloves. The guy is awkward and uncoordinated. And yes I live in STL and watch the Cardinals games quite a bit. He had 11 errors in '04 and 15 errors in '05. That is regressing at its best. He is the best hitter in the league w/o a doubt. Predictions Cardinals Cubs Astros Brewers Reds Pirates........no one wins more than 95 this year

Well put Jericho. That was my point exactly. He is without question the best hitter in the league, but he is a DH playing in the National league.

That man eating tarp must be Pujols girlfriend. Albert is David Ortiz. Great hitter if not the best in the game, but simply a DH playing in the national league. 15 errors at 1st base is unacceptable, get off his jock.
