  1. I feel like the Indians are a good comparison here. During the late 90s and the time Jacobs Field was built, they were a winning team and sold out every single game. That is just not true anymore, and thats considering they were a playoff team last year. The fan base was irrecoverably hurt. I realize we're the Cubs and everything is a bit different with us but man, your typical meatball fan is PISSED, and those meatball fans money spends just like ours does.
  2. I don't know if I'd go that far......attendance has been on a steady decline for years. And if anything necessitates changes in this country, its losing money. There has been this assumption by ownership that "once we're good again" all the numbers would return back to normal, I just don't think I totally agree with that.

  4. obligatory sample size comment I asked the same question but it was just out of frustration, I dont think they ate their wheaties before the cardinals series and forgot to before the sox what does frustrate me is continued playing time given to players that dont matter under the guise of "setting up the other young players for sucess". give me a break, their will was broken the second they joined this team
  5. I actually think the effort is there. especially when compared to last years team you can see they're trying. the skill...the talent, thats whats not there. "dead ass team" is conjecture and not correct. its not their fault they suck. you could argue that you'd like to see more improvement, but there HAS been improvement from the players that actually matter. never
  6. you know what grinds my gears, that miami is better than us every year regardless of context for either team. also that somewhere ozzie guillen is laughing his ass off right now
  7. so I went to wal-mart during this game and realized I did the only thing that would make the game worse - listen to ron coomer

  14. watching dead arm danks vs the cubs lineup is so depressing I feel like the saturday beer league game has more talent and competition this is not baseball
  15. This offseason we really need to sign more players who have a good AVG with RISP while their team is trailing. I want guys who can catch the ball myself only if their fielding % is a prime number

  17. danks delivery looks like when a girl tries to throw, and they 'push' it forward instead of actually throwing it
