  1. There are still many bleacher seats available for games in May. And they are night games as well so you wouldn't have to miss school. Go to the tickets part on the website and click on games such as May 16-17 vs. Washington those start at 7:05 pm, and have bleachers remaining. Same with May 30-31 against the Reds at night. I'd hurry up if I were u. Those seats should be about 30 bucks each.
  2. Quick Question: I dont remember exactly from last year, but say I get into the ticket buying portion, and I choose a game, and put in i want bleachers. If there are no bleachers left do I get sent back into the waiting room, or can I pick a different seat? Also, if I decide I dont want nosebleeds for a certain game and wanna switch games, they will send me back into the waiting room even if i didnt purchase any tix right?
  3. This isnt happening. But if it did, how bout Todd Walker and Rich Hill for Cliff Floyd? Put Jacque in Left. Lineup: 1) Pierre CF 2) Cedeno SS 3) Lee 1B 4) Ramirez 3B 5) Soriano 2B 6) Floyd RF 7) Barrett C 8) Jones LF
  4. What are Bleacher Box seats? how are they different than regular bleachers? Anyway, if you go here http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/chc/ballpark/seating.jsp it lists the prices of the seats in 06. I don't know about you guys, but didn't they increase their prices by a lot from last year? They seem very expensive this year! $40 bucks for bleachers during the prime games. Some of the crappiest seats are $30 bucks! Anyway, I just hope I get great seats for the Cubs/Sox and bleachers for the rest. I have a question though... can you buy bleachers online after u get sent through the waiting room, or do u have to go to Wrigley to buy bleachers?
  5. Wilken was there. He seemed pretty smart. He says he doesn't have a specific drafting policy. It depends on the year. He likes to draft middle infielders because those guys are the best players. Wilken's 1st round pick made it to the majors something like 16 years in a row. And about EPatt not K'ing much.... I dont think they said that specifically, the guy said something like he has a really good eye for the strike zone. So he might K a lot, but he doesn't swing at pitches no where near the zone like Corey does. And they said they still hope that Pie will be a CF in the future and not a corner OF.
  6. Here's the post I posted on the Cubs message board about the event: Just got back from the last day of the convention. Very boring day, only stayed for 3 hours, and went to only 1 session. I went to the minor league info session, here were some tidbits: -Matt Murton was nicknamed "The Orange Guy" by Greg Maddux as soon as he arrived on the team. -Felix Pie had a bad winter ball, but it was humbling and could be good for him, cuz they would rather have him fail in the winter league than majors. And he got bigger, up to 200 lbs. and still is just as fast, and should be ready to go in the spring. -Mark Pawelek (cubs 1st pick) is looking great. Averaged like 2 K's an inning this past year. -Sean Gallagher (cubs minor league pitcher of the year) was at the convention, and everyone is very high on him. He is only 20 and looks like a cool guy. He pitched 40 straight scoreless innings in the beginning of this past year. He will be a good one. -Angel Guzman is just about 100%. He is throwing in the mid to upper 90's, and they say he looks as good as ever now, he just needs to fix his command to make it 100%, and he still has all the stuff.. -Cedeno won the batting title and was MVP of minor league, and now did great in winter league, and if it wasnt for like 2 players becoming eligible by the # of atbats at the end of the winter leagues, then Cedeno would have won the batting title there too, and that would be a first. -Also they said Dopirik had a bad year, but everyone has bad years and he will be good. And they are trying to make Sing and outfielder cuz they have a feeling DLee will be a Cub for a while. -Adam Greenberg was sent through waivers earlier, but cleared and now is ready for spring, he's 100% and will be in AAA Iowa this year. -Eric Patterson had a great year, and doesn't K a lot, has a great strike zone. The new guy Perez or whatever his name is that we got for Corey is also a good 2B. They said him and Eric Patterson are very similar and they will compete for the 2B job in the minors. -Also, I forgot to mention that they talked about Andy Sisco.... hes 6 foot 10 by the way... they said that he is a great talent, but he was just a big problem around the clubhouse, and off the field. Also, he had a bad year, and plus wasnt following the rules of the team, and so they got rid of him, and he is still causing trouble in KC.
  7. I was at the convention, and the guy in front of me asked the question about all this. He said "Do you see Kerry Wood as a relief pitcher in the future." and Dusty said something like "Yes I do, somewhere down the road. Right now all our intentions are for Kerry to be a starter until he proves otherwise. But Kerry proved he could pitch out of the pen. But the doctors fixed the problem that gave Kerry discomfort in his shoulder when he would throw passed 50 pitches, so when completely healthy he will be a starter for us, and hopefully its only a week or 2 into the season until hes back in the rotation."
  8. Dusty never said that Wood is goin to the bullpen when he returns. He said that they've thought about Wood pitching in the bullpen, but he's a starter until he can't do that anymore. This is what Dusty said during one of the questions from a fan about Wood at the convention.
  9. Id do that trade. We are gonna trade Walker anyway, and probably for nobody, so why not get something for him? Williams is not as great as everyone thinks he is. We can always plug Rusch, Guzman, or Hill in his spot and be fine, or sign someoen like Weaver. I like the idea of havin speedy guys at the top of the order.
  10. Nevermind guys, I sold them.
  11. I have 2 extra tickets. Regular price. 100 bucks for both. anyone?
