  1. who cares? the series is over. at this point it doesnt matter. detroit was getting all the calls due to their whining to the media about the 5 minute pp and was up by 3 already. might as well even the score.
  2. It'd be nice to see a replay. CBC still hasn't given one. nbc showed one..it was just a bunch of pushing and shoving.
  3. how did walker get a penalty from that? unbeleivable.
  4. [expletive] this [expletive].....go after these dick sucks and send them to pitt with a short roster
  5. hawks penalty, 2 minutes for standing up for a teammate against a cheap dangerous player
  6. There were a few seconds left in the period. It was unnecessary, especially since the target was little Patty. The clock is running, a player has the puck and is skating up the ice, and that's not a perfectly normal time to throw a check? he constantly goes for headshots, which shows a lack of respect for the players and the game. he is the type of hitter that NHLPA wants to get rid of, and with good reason. That wasn't a head shot. going for guys head with an elbow/shoulder whatever is a headshot. it is what kronwall is known for doing. even if you go after someones head with your shoulder legally it is still a headshot and a dirty play

  8. yah. i'd love to see eager jump someone at the end of this one if the hawks are goign to lose.
  9. poster boy for steroids in the nhl scores
  10. if hawks are down late this will get nasty haha
  11. Was for sure a penalty... but he's a Finn and it was embellished. yah. if anything is worth 2 minutes that was though.
  12. hahahahahaha. hows your head filpulla???
  13. let the swedish diving contest begin
  14. i can't decide whose the most obvious juicer in the NHL. lucic of franzen.
  15. Cristobal [expletive] Huet He's not that bad. Khabibulin is better, but Huet isn't that bad. yah khabi is better...but its not a massive downgrade. its pretty marginal really.
  16. havlat playing. datsyuk out. :)
  17. Message sending for the next game, it's happened since the beginning of the sport. Very similar to how baseball used to be... you take care of it on the field... you hit my guy I'm going to make sure to hit your guy(s)... there were no warnings or ejections for that crap. Let the players police the game themselves. There is a reason why baseball stopped allowing those fights...it's [expletive] and shouldn't be part of the game for the most part. It should be the same why in hockey in terms of warnings and ejections. not really. baseball is not a particularly physical or intense sport. hockey is very much so. rather a couple guys fight each other and end up with a few sore fists than nasty cheapshots happen and guys get seriously hurt. fighting lets the players release frustrations etc. in a pretty safe way. if it were 'banned' guys would resort to very dangerous stickwork or intent to injure hits. so fighting in hockey is a good.
  18. The problem with this guys take on it is this....almost every check can be called charging if you are going to pull out the rule book. He also is the big scott stevens fan, how he can call kronwall a questionable player and like scott stevens seems a little inconsistent. Steven ruined several careers with hits similar to Kronwalls. Like I said earlier, Kronwall has a rep for leaving his feet on big hits. He did not on this hit and it was perfectly clean. I think what is worse is again the refs look at the damage done and than give a penalty. If you didnt call it as a penalty when it happened, what changed your mind a minute later. edit: sorry I messed up..the wisneski guy or puck daddy is the stevens fan. I have no idea who this seth from empty netters is Right...I think the 5 minute interference was put in the rule book to penalize Stevens type his. Seriously, with all the research coming out on the long term problems that guys with concussion problems encounter...hits like this should be penalized in a way that will make guys stop going for headshots. Yah its fun to watch someone get lit up (as long as your team isn't on the receiving end), but the NHL is really trying to reduce headshots and thats why hits like this get called so harshly. And they should be. Tonight's game would have been a perfectly entertaining game without having to watch Havlat out cold with his eyes open.
  19. yah kronwall has a rep as a dirty puss. he wil lget his eventually. good take on it: http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/puck_daddy/post/Video-Kronwall-s-devastating-hit-on-Havlat-in-G?urn=nhl,165417
  20. campbell calls the hit gutless....haha nice
  21. yah cus he'll give detroit like 12 minutes of pp time WRONG... he makes big plays in the offensive zone and will piss the [expletive] out of the likes of Holmstrom. Beach won't tolerate an [expletive] in front of the net. yah. i look forward to having him on the team next year. he is basically one of these young guys who are great agitators. except on top of that he can really play. mix of a guy like avery and a power forward like brown or shanahan
  22. yah cus he'll give detroit like 12 minutes of pp time
  23. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8up-tkxZ4r8 maybe the second part of this incident can happen sunday :P
  24. quenneville says lower body injury for khabi - day to day. havlat looked better after the game - day to day.
