    NBCSN just made it sound like it will NOT be on another channel. Just said in MN and CHI they will switch to the Hawks game at 8:45. There's no way they wouldn't show the game on the alternate channel or NHLN is there?

    I think that speaks to the quality of Chiarelli, Lombardi, Bowman and Shero and the coaches they hired. The margin for error is so much slimmer now. And, yes, having the best players doesn't hurt, but Shero can tell you it's not enough if you make a bad choice in goalies.

    Yeah, agreed. At the start of the season I said getting to the conference final would be a successful season to me coming off the cup win. That's definitely the case now.

    Man, I don't have many crazies on my FB feed for times like this and the one super crazy right winger seems to have just shut up the last three weeks (I'd never unfriend him because his bit was so out there, it had fantastic comedic value). Yeah this is the sort of thing that sends me on a wild unfriending binge. Which is good for the soul once in awhile.

    Mark Wohlers must be thinking that Sterling was arrested. Yes, now I'll tie back to my original reason for bringing up Chick-Fil-A and Duck Dynasty. And it's not rocket science. You have a right to think and say whatever you want, but you aren't immune from any consequences. If there is public backlash and loss of income or advertisers, etc., well, you should have thought about that. The "private conversation" thing just strikes me as a red herring used by people looking to defend the guy as everyone's old racist grandpa or whatever.

    Apparently it is against the law in California and the girlfriend may face legal issues because of it. But what is the NBA supposed to do? "Sorry, players/fans/fellow owners. We know Donald Sterling is a racist POS and have proof of that but because the proof obtained by TMZ was recorded illegally we have to pretend that Sterling really loves black people." People are already saying things like RW said on my Facebook feed. Generally the same people who supported the Duck Dynasty and Chick-Fil-A goofs.

    Yeah he could have equivocated. But that press conference was harsh and to the point. I don't know if Silver always has that terse style, but it was perfect for this situation.

    Already have heard carping about "east coast bias" for Doughty and Vlasic not making the list, though nobody is saying Keith shouldn't have been there.

    I believe the NHL wants to try and start series on Fri and Sat with some game 2 action on Sunday. It could depend on potential scheduling conflicts at certain arenas. Which of course depends on who wins that series and who gets home ice. I said it before when I thought we would fave COL in the first round. I don't mind starting there. Put the pressure right on them.

    It should be noted that it's not like the Isles and Oilers went and bought up all the best players because there was no salary cap. But there were no constraints on them keeping the team together, and that's where Bowman deserves a ton of credit.

    Well sonuva...I was exhausted and went to bed early last night...thought for sure this was going to a game 7. Yeah same here. That's too bad. Hope the other two West series go seven.

    Like Columbus, the Dallas fans are making their games a lot of fun to watch. Great first period for them.

    Well, 3/5 < 4/5, but it puts them in the conversations. It'll also be as many in any five-year stretch as the Bulls ever won. Given that it's harder now to build and maintain a dynasty, I absolutely think they would belong in that conversation.
