    Tough break but they are the ones without no trade clauses. Apparently the Bylsma reports were premature. The plan is to bring in a new GM and let him decide. That makes some sense. No doubt Bylsma is one of the better coaches in the league. However, it would be crappy for them to wait a month and then fire him if that kept him from getting another job.

    Hiller is done. Boudreau is over him. It's Gibson all the way unless the other guy (blanking on name -- Anderson?) gets healthy and Gibson falters. I have to think the rookie is in over his head and can be overpowered but who knows.

    I have to imagine the only reason would be he is sick of the travel because I cannot imagine that would be more lucrative than his current gig. That can't be a great path to a front office, can it? It was for Shanahan.

    Just went back and looked at that draft class. Looking back now, after Kane the top 10 is pretty weak. St. Louis traded down from 9, where San Jose ended up taking Couture. Bet the Blues regret that. The middle part of that first round was pretty solid -- Shattenkirk, Pacioretty, McDonagh, Sutter.

    My guess ECF starts Saturday. WCF starts Sunday, even if LA, Anaheim goes 7. Yeah, that sounds right. So we get home ice against the Kings but not the Ducks. But I still think I'd rather face the Ducks.
