With this team, in this market, there should never be any question whether money will be available. But I'm glad Ricketts isn't saying there won't be. -

Yeah this is stupid. Why mess with a good thing? Except, of course, for money. And lots of it. But no 96-team women's tournament? WTF! That's what we need! -

Bingo. Was so busy I forgot to try and get playoff tickets yesterday. But sounds like I probably wouldn't have been successful anyway.

I will be trying to get tickets, though I need to look at the schedule to see if there will be weekend home games. As for tonight, I was asked to go out of town for work and didn't fight it. So my wife is going with a friend. I told her she still has to wear the Indianhead though. :-) Worst case scenario you can't go and sell them for a profit. The Hawks could lose the rest of their games this year, with Kane and Toews both out with injuries and Huet getting announced as the starter for all games in the playoffs and you could still turn a profit on them. Yeah I will definitely be trying, though I might have to get my wife involved. I'll be in a deposition tomorrow morning at a place that doesn't have wifi. [expletive].

I went all #1 seeds in the FF this year. Figures.

Some guy in the league I'm in kept Lidge as one of his four keepers. He also kept KRod and kept two closers last year also. That's just dumb. Our league is by no means a bunch of experts but nobody has ever used a keeper spot on a closer.

I disagree. That rule was ridiculous, goals being waved off when the goalie wasn't interefered with at all. There is subjectivity to the same degree in all sports. It can't be avoided. If they would have stuck with it though, in a couple of more years the players would have made changes and by now it would be uncommon. I always thought that goalie equipment needed to be smaller if they were going to have this rule. It would perhaps be uncommon but still terribly unfair when actually enforced. Players shouldn't be forced to tiptoe around the crease. There are guys there who get paid to clear them out. Let them do their jobs.

It's almost easier when we just have a shitty goalie to blame. What a lethargic effort. And I hate to say it but Toews was the Grand Marshal of the [expletive] Parade tonight.

Duncan Keith should have learned by now it's not easy for his goalie to make saves when he's laying on top of him. Overall not a bad period. Really need this win.

Thanks for the thoughts. The depth concern is going to force me to relinquish my rights to Castro, which shouldn't even be that tough of a decision. I know I'm being a stupid homer. Perhaps that's why I haven't won this league in 9 years.

Wait, he put Huet back in? I left this one after the second and then saw the final score. Why the hell would he do that? Except to say "this is your [expletive] mess, you deal with it." I have no doubt Q hates that dude at this point.

Probably three. You can blame the penalty shot on him really, though he was his usual defenseless self. The last one was inexcusable.
