^Absolutely agree. I have to think, win or lose, the Sharks are seriously going to wear out Anderson. He won't be able to withstand another barrage like the Hawks will bring if they can get past Nashville.
I'd be fine with Colorado finishing them off. They are dangerous. If they ever figure *it* out, whatever that is, they could roll all the way to a final with the Caps. And what a series that would be.
Well, if you want to be on the winning side... :D) As you have probably gathered, Nashville doesn't play a very exciting style of hockey. Mildly successful, but not fan-friendly at all.
I looked the other day and saw there were seats available for tomorrow night, but 2,000? Disgraceful. At the bottom of this article: http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=318664 This wouldn't happen in Winnipeg or Hamilton.
I hope the Hawks make a good run and make you guys fans. I don't think anything can beat the intensity of the NHL playoffs once it gets late in a series. Even the first round.
What blog/board you talking about here? http://www.ontheforecheck.com/ Someone from NSBB was obviously posting in their game thread last night at the end. It was kind of funny. That is pretty funny, but I don't see any reason to think it was someone from here. Regardless, he pretty much owned those morons.
Also, not having Campbell against these guys is brutal. He is exactly what we need against their forecheck. But I'm afraid even if he does come back late in the series he will be rusty and probably be a liability.
Pretty much, though I do think at this points the series goes six games. I expect we split in Nashville and then take Games 5 and 6. Or, I'm completely wrong, the offense explodes and blows the doors off. Which has got to happen pretty soon.
Yeah Hossa was the man. The last two periods were a lot of fun to watch. Niemi was sharp and the d's seemed to block a lot of shots. Byfuglien was the biggest weakness in my mind. They were saying he sucked after these two games? I can't begin to understand how that happens Give 'em a break. They were only watching because the NASCAR race was postponed. Seriously, it's not possible that more than a tiny sliver of their fan base knows the first damn thing about hockey. And making fun of Hossa's play proves it. He was a maestro out there pretty much every time he touched the puck.
Any other player and I'd call that a dive. But Kane really goes down that easy. 4-on-3 is almost as good as a 5-on-3 though. I like our chances here, then the last 5:00 will be a brawl.
