Maybe because the last good position playing prospect the Cubs have developed is Mark Grace. As pathetic as that is, Pie is our best chance at changing this. Also, if you think that Baltimore would take Pie instead of Prior than you are f#*$*# nuts. They want pitching, and if they decide to trade Tejeda, they are going to get it from somebody. If anything, they are going to want both Prior and Pie. I am not saying that Hendry would make such a deal, but it will take something like that or Prior and Hill to get Tejeda.
