  1. I would be terrified to pitch to Aramis with any kind of hitter's count.
  2. Ugh. Is there anything we can do to just make the Cardinals go away? Anything at all? Playing better teams? The Cubs haven't had a tough schedule, but I think someone posted a breakdown showing the Cards have the easiest schedule in baseball.
  3. Friday...3 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 5/3 K/BB, HR, 1-3 GO-FO, 67 pitches. The 3 runs came in the third. He should go again on Wed unless Iowa has a day off in between. Hendry was in attendance. Thanks.
  4. Hmmmmmmmmmmm....touche, Edmonds. Touche. Edmonds will not have TWO hits today. I do not appreciate being made to look the fool, sir. Edmonds will not have THREE hits today.
  5. God, that's so depressing.
  6. Random aside...did Hill finally have another start this week?
  7. Still in striking distance. Be real nice if Sean could do 2 more innings.
  8. Hmmmmmmmmmmm....touche, Edmonds. Touche. Edmonds will not have TWO hits today.
  9. That's why when he was traded to Washington he agreed to switch from 2B to LF, no? Good call, its the Cubs preventing him from playing that position, although he's Weeksian at 2B. I have heard he refuses to play CF now, though. Based on what? All of his public comments (and comments about him from the organization) is that he'll play and hit wherever the team tells him to. I haven't heard any kind of source, leaked or otherwise, indicating anything else. Then you haven't been paying close enough attention to wrigley23's posts. No kidding. Soriano has his obvious flaws, but some people seem to love adding on things they've completely made up or assumed.

  11. Hah! The conundrum that is Soriano, all in about 5 seconds.
  12. Edmonds will not have a hit today.
  13. I prefer "pansied into becoming babies."
  14. He's the epitome of baseball dinosaurs in his refusal to look at the few games/players he actually pays attention in the context of the game having evolved in the last 30 years.
  15. This post is insane. The first paragraph is testosterone driven junk. Do you have anything on which to back this up? Any evidence of routine 130 pitch games in the good ol days or that having young pitchers throw tons of pitches would "build arm strength" - you know what would be great, if every high school pitcher pitched both ends of a double-header. That would certainly build arm strength, so they should be immune from abuse injuries in the future, right? Posts like the one you're replying to act like the game itself hasn't changed over the years. Mound height, types of hitters, types of pitches...all factors that change how pitchers can approach the game.
