I think it'll be a simple matter to bench Brett after this game. Get rid of Childress, make Frazier interim coach, go with Jackson for the rest of the year and reevaluate at the end of the season.

Deng is useful and does several things that are important but he's forced to be a #2 when he needs to be a #3 or 4. When he has to create he gets in trouble. I still don't think Denver takes him in a trade. They'd rather just have the cap space. If you can get a 3rd team involved that has expiring deals then you can start to build a trade around that.

Because Deng stinks. We can only hope he becomes more consistent when he's the clear #3 option on offense.

Contracts have to be honored and deals in place already can't be up and changed that easily. The end of the European theatre was also six years after it began. And the Marshall plan lasted another four. It's a matter of motivation. As we have seen large mergers can be shotgunned in a weekend when people are motivated to do it. Look how fast the GM bankruptcy went through. I don't believe for one second that we couldn't have two more wildcard teams starting in 2011 if that's what they really wanted. They just want to market it.
