  1. What an ugly game. Pure effort by Noah there at the end.
  2. Ok that helps Luol.
  3. Brewer made two absolutely huge plays on D too and Deng ruins it.
  4. DENG YOU SOFT PIECE OF [expletive]!!@$!@($*&!@#(*
  5. Desperately need someone to step up here. Brewer should have fresh legs.
  6. Need some random dude to go berserk in this OT. Team's gotta be gassed at this point.
  7. They had a decent run in the mid to late 80s under Dave Bliss. They made the NCAA tournament 3 years in a 5-year stretch (losing in the 2nd round each time). In 1984--85 (the year they actually lost to Chaminade; the article Garwilly linked to was a year off) they were #10 in the AP preseason poll and got as high as #2. Jon Koncak was their star. You can't stop Jon Koncak. You can only hope to contain him.
  8. Why are we double teaming Channing Frye in the post to leave Richardson open for a 3?
  9. 23 points in 14 minutes for Hakim Warrick?
  10. I hope we beat Philly and then somehow drop in various power rankings. The lower the better.
  11. There is Ewing theory potential with other teams because they are deep, experienced, and have played together for years. You take Rose off the Bulls and you're looking at one of the worst offensive teams in the league. maybe the absolute worst without Boozer.
  12. I'll fight anyone who says there is another guard in this league that can do what Rose does when the entire defense is keyed on stopping him. He's incredible. Korver missed some shots that we need him to make. Gibson and Noah controlled the glass like we want. Other than that, can't be too mad with how they played...the effort level was there, Lakers hit a lot of shots because they're the best team in the league and stupidly deep. I pray that Boozer can help nip in the bud those runs that teams make against us where it looks like Derrick has to absolutely every thing to get us a good look. We can play with anyone though.
  13. Yeah but I don't know if there's any rhyme or reason to what team's announcers they pick. Probably the home team. Might be blacked out anyway for you Raisin.
  14. I really think they'll figure out how to play with each other. James/Wade both are really high IQ basketball players and I just can't imagine them not being able to make it work. What's really kind of sad is how boring the basketball has been. Just not exciting at all. The interior/depth problems are something that probably can't be fixed on the fly this season.
  15. Tuesday is always the fan night game on NBATV. I'm sure atdhe will have a stream.
  16. I'm going to guess he's out of market and doesn't get NBATV.
  17. The line is Philly -4. We've got respect out the yin yang baby!
  18. There are 240 man-minutes in a regulation NBA game and a combination of Ilgauskas, Carlos Arroyo, Juwan Howard, Jamaal Magloire, Eddie House, and James Jones played over half of them (122). Joel Anthony went from starting to getting DNP-CD's in less than a week.
  19. Reading idle chatter on Heat boards that maybe the team is coasting so Riley can push out Spoelstra. Whatever's going on, the effort level was absolutely horrible.
  20. I heard Haslem was having some kind of surgery and is out "indefinitely." Miami's in trouble for awhile.
  21. Those stats are not accurate. If you think Miami is the best team in basketball, you're high. Even the guys that made those models would never, ever pick Miami over LA in a 7 game series if their lives depended on it.
  22. All I'm saying is that a good OC (and I consider Heimerdinger a good one) isn't going to turn chicken [expletive] into chicken salad...especially in the pros. A good set of wheels and a nice scheme can hide a lot in college.
  23. The "oh I've been through so many different OCs" excuse is loser talk. For starters, if your OC stinks, changing it isn't a bad thing. But even if you're just making lateral moves all the good OCing in the world can't fix a wack delivery and bad decision making.
