  1. It definitely was that. I guess what I was actually thinking was that it was technically two separate trades (Expos-A's and Cubs-A's) but in effect a three-team trade. if i remember, though, it was a couple days in the making. baseball-reference.com says both trades happened 12/15, but I recall them happening on consecutive days
  2. I don't want to bump that thread, but I do want to go on record as saying I have an irrational hatred of blue ink
  3. No, but maybe Felix Pie was a stow-away. can you re-check for Mark Teixeira?
  4. Payton is just like Jones only not quite as good
  5. Nothing personal, but that would have been a horrendous move. it would be a something for nothing deal But it assumes that the Cubs wil not give Soto a shot. How do we know that? Just b/c they acquired Kendall for almost nothing and in all likelihood will allow him to walk after this year? that's what he said, he's operating under that assumption. whether or not they actually give him a shot is another thing altogether

  7. how much value does Dunn lose by playing 81 games in Petco?
  8. the Rams really like paying QBs
  9. 16 are either lying or virgins or don't realize that's what they're with right now
  10. what a hit to the Iowa OF -- Pie, Kroeger and Murton all bailed on the team
  11. 2 ABs, but your point still stands. and he made 3 outs
  12. maybe Robinson just doesn't photograph well
  13. oh my good lord yes
  14. did it ever occur to you that he just isn't really good at baseball?
  15. Or Edward K. from Indianapolis. :D Does anybody still have those Edward K ones? I can't even remember what was so funny about it at this point. Link Will Neifi Perez be starting at shortstop this year? After doing such a good job filling in for Garciaparra last year, I would think he'd be a great choice. Do the Cubs have other plans for him? -- Edward K., Indianapolis, Ind. Remember, Perez was originally signed to be a backup. The Cubs would like to give Ronny Cedeno a chance to be the starting shortstop. Cedeno was third in batting in the Venezuelan League this winter the last time I checked. Perez will get his at-bats.
  16. Read the first post in this thread and there's no need to assume. I'm wondering if that has something to do with this: http://www.northsidebaseball.com/PremiumForum/templates/subSilver/images/lang_english/icon_ignore_add.gif
