Catchers have to hit 7th or 8th. It's in the Geneva Convention. -
Most kids gets let out of their LOI when a coach leaves/is fired. The only time I can recall it not happening was Satan down in Knoxville(and I'm not even sure of that one). The appeal was due to the Big Ten no-transfer rule, and I think they got it right. It's not a transfer, it's an uncommitted kid. I think they got this one right because of the coaching change. My hope is it doesn't open the doors for kids to go from Michigan to OSU or Northwestern to Illinois for other reasons. I like the rule as a whole.

UW wins appeal on behalf of Brust I hope this doesn't turn into a regular occurrence now. It would get extremely annoying to see kids bail on their LOI.
