  1. What time did Levine report that about Dunn/Griffey? I was listening to ESPN Radio for a while this afternoon and never heard it.
  2. probably the beginning of the White Sox firesale
  3. People on WSI are saying it is for a Single-A player.
  4. I wouldn't really mind him here, considering that line against lefties, but I would say there's almost no chance the Cubs bring him back.
  5. It's so hard to tell because it takes two sides to make a deal no matter how logical they sound when we cook them up here. Both teams got to want to do it. I'd look for something smaller-scale but no blockbuster. (Subject to change, of course.) yeah, good point, and most teams seem to be keeping quiet about who they want/who they are going to deal thanks Bruce
  6. don't wanna bombard you with questions, but do you think the Cubs are going to stand pat at the deadline like Lou said, Bruce? If not, who do you see them getting?
  7. yeah, saw it on ESPNews about a half hour ago
  8. He's been terrible all season. I don't see the point in pretending that people are making a judgement over 5-6 games. They are judging him on his numbers, all season long. He's been awful, all season long. Except June. a .758 OPS is really not too good.
  9. If he could've been had for a minor leaguer, from Single A at that, JH should have been all over that. I don't know how valuable Ramirez is, but something tells me we could have made a better offer.
  10. I'm pretty convinced we will do nothing at the deadline at this point.
  11. They were both injured in the 4th inning? yeah, Felix had a quad problem, and apparently Kroeger hurt something after a swing. If he hurt something in his swing, why did he play the field 2 more innings before being pulled in the 4th without having another AB? That's fishy. He said Pie tried to go out on the field and tough it out but had to be taken out eventually.
  12. He's full of (crap). That's a lie. They both got hurt at the same time? Yeah right. Would be unfortunate, not really impossible though.
  13. They were both injured in the 4th inning? yeah, Felix had a quad problem, and apparently Kroeger hurt something after a swing.
  14. Pie and Kroeger were injured, per the I-Cubs' manager.
  15. The guy on the I-Cubs broadcast wondering if Soriano pulled in the 7th and Pie pulled in the 4th are related at all. uhhhh ok...
  16. that likely means it was an injury or call up perhaps, I can't see it being anything huge, the I-Cubs manager wouldn't be announcing it.
  17. Ehh, pulling Pie and Kroeger when the game is still early doesn't make much sense, even to get guys AB's.
  18. yeah but, the 4th inning? really early to pull a couple of guys who have been hitting well.
  19. Hendry may be stupid, but not quite THAT stupid
