    I bet the combined distance of those 4 homers was 1600-1700 feet. The guy absolutely crushed the ones I saw. One additional quick thought, and I know this is completely wishful lightning in a bottle thinking, but this reminds me a little of Gary Gaetti in '98. The Cubs picked him up off the scrap heap in mid-August (I think he was DFA'd by the Cardinals), and he proceeds to put up about a 1000 OPS for the rest of the year. 320/.397/.594/.991 Close enough wow, I knew Gaetti was great for us in '98, but I didn't know he actually put up a .991 OPS. Too bad we re-signed him and he had a brutal '99.

    It was reported by WSCR yesterday. I was listening when they reported it. It's true. ahh, ok. I've been skeptical of MLBTR in the past, haven't really gone there recently but it sounds like they are more credible then they used to be.

    I was listening to him earlier and it was ok until he started talking about Eckstein and started saying "well he's like one of those little bugs that you just can't squash and it keeps coming back and biting you" and I got annoyed again.

    I just don't see Murton and/or Pie (if he's brought up) getting a lot of AB's with Sori out. I see a lot of Jacque, Floyd and Pagan being used in the OF which is going to lead to a lot of pathetic offensive performances.

    After hearing that Soriano is going to be out for a minimum of 2 weeks, and most likely a month, I think the Cubs are in serious trouble. Is there any chance Hendry can pull off a waiver deal for some help in the OF? I just don't see Murton or Pie getting a chance to do anything other than ride the bench right now. Anyone realistically out there that we can pick up to help us out? Seems to me that Church is unlikely to pass through waivers, and I don't see Hendry pulling off a Griffey or Dunn type deal.
