I bet the combined distance of those 4 homers was 1600-1700 feet. The guy absolutely crushed the ones I saw. One additional quick thought, and I know this is completely wishful lightning in a bottle thinking, but this reminds me a little of Gary Gaetti in '98. The Cubs picked him up off the scrap heap in mid-August (I think he was DFA'd by the Cardinals), and he proceeds to put up about a 1000 OPS for the rest of the year. 320/.397/.594/.991 Close enough wow, I knew Gaetti was great for us in '98, but I didn't know he actually put up a .991 OPS. Too bad we re-signed him and he had a brutal '99.
