    I disagree he needs to work on plate discipline. It isn't his fault that umpire blew that call. I love how Marquis can't hit for us either. Pie has gotten called out on that strike low and inside time and time again though. It was one of his main problems in late June. It's not fair that the umps keep doing that, but at some point he has to adjust and start fighting those pitches off if they are going to keep calling it. I think it would be pretty impossible to fight off a pitch that far inside.

    Jermaine Dye homered again tonight for the Sox, his 24th of the season. It also gives him 12 HR's and an OPS over 1.130 since the all star break.

    ooh, did they say anything about me? i couldn't tell, they were too busy laughing at their own unfunny jokes. ah well, that's just what happens when you can't keep from having a public hippie freak-out on this board. they have to go somewhere right? i mean, they aren't just deleted from human history once tim hits that little red button and nukes their entire reason for living, are they? my theory is that they become some sort of slow, unscary romero-esque zombies with a semblance of former personality, obsessed and yet deathly afraid of fireworks. it'd be sweet if there really was like a big red button that Tim pushes to ban someone for life.

    He is starting to hit, but don't mention catching the ball or throwing out runners. Give him a break on that one too, I think. Needs some time to get used to the staff. Most of his throws to get runners aren't even close. on most of them, he hasn't had a chance.

    i'm guessing a lot, why? Some idiot at work was saying a team such as this would go undefeated. We had a long argument about it. I thought it was interesting. The Cubs suck and I have nothing better to do than comprise a team of really good baseball players. They'd win a lot, but I'd say at some point they would lose a game.
