  1. Daily Home Run Leader Board (July 3, 2005) National League Player Team HR# Inning On Base P. Wilson COL 14 3 0 D. Mohr COL 7 1 0 L. Gonzalez COL 4 2 0 Just thought this may lift everyones spirits a little. This is the daily hr tracker and thses are all of the HRs so far.
  2. I am sure it is just a way to get macias on the field, was that just a lead off hit, i dont remember the last time we saw one of those.
  3. We have alot of people in here today, a flashchat sound good? PS- lets show dusty what a good lineup can do, not great but good.
  4. Anyone know why nick johnson isnt starting?
  5. so he comes up with one out and guys on first and third like yesterday and doesn't lead off. You put your best hitters 3 and 4 Burnitz isn't anywhere near the hitter Ramirez is. I completly agree with that, but what if by moving ARam around you mess with his batting. Like Walker said in his interview it makes it tougher to hit being moved around. We just got ARam near .300 lets not mess with him.
  6. To be fair though, Neifi has a better batting average than Barrett. If holla can keep his hot streak alive I may be in love with this lineup. I wouldnt mind seeing Burnitz switched with ARam, but why move ARam around when he is really starting to hit in the spot he is at.
  7. I am a little confused, we are so worried about protecting ARam but our best hitter has the worst BA guy of the next 3 batters behind him. Why not go 3-8: Lee ARam Walker Burnitz Barrett Holla No, we would use ARam at the 4 to protect Lee. What I would like to see: Cedeno Walker Lee ARam Burnitz Hollandworth/Dubois Barrett Patterson I would love to see that too. I was just thinking that with Dusty refusing to drop Neifi and Cpatt down with his quoted strategy of protecting batters it makes sense to me that you put one of your top three hitters behind Lee, whether it be Walker or ARam.
  8. Really? well everyone loves to jump on patterson for brain lapses, yesterday was the biggest gaffe you can have in sports. the one time the guy has to hit the ball in the air he can't if we would have had a runner on second there with no one out you know he wouldn't have hit the ball on the groung like he did there. Sure Burnitz has some lapses, remember the drop fly ball? But to call him worthless is a bit harsh don't you think? It would be harsh except we are cubs fans. With us the season ends after every loss and every SO we demand the player be traded. Burnitz is lucky with that comment, it could have been much worse.

  10. Spoke to soon, I really should have saw that coming.
  11. That right there was an at bat. You know that if burnitz makes contact it is going to the outfield so we should score here.
  12. At least CPatt didnt swing at the first pitch and saw 6 pitches. OMG someone is on base and Lee is up to bat
  13. does this mean that lee gets plunked next? Oh, maybe they will hit Neifi or patterson so one of them will actually be on base when lee comes up!!
  14. what about perhaps dropping lee to fourth in the lineup as such: patterson Neifi Aramis Lee Burnitz Walker Barrett Holla Pitcher If Dusty refuses to change the 1-2 at least Lee will have Aramis before him to get on base plus if somehow our 1-2 do get on base Aramis can still bring them around. But seeing lee always come up with no one on base is getting so old.
  15. Has anyone else noticed how well holla has been hitting over the past couple weeks? Since june 20th he is hitting .387 and has had some clutch hits. With Aramis heating up finally and DLEE having an MVP season along with Walker's BA we are getting some production deeper in the lineup. If the meat of the order can continue to hit and our pitching stays strong we can hopefully fend off some teams in these weeks heading into the AS break.
  16. Yes but lawton plays a position where he can get on the field every day
  17. Does it really matter everyone wants to strike out
  18. Does it really matter everyone wants to strike out
  19. If we go extra innings corey and d lee haved a chance at a cycle, of course dlee has a slightly better chance already having a triple and a hr
  20. my prediction: Barrett doubles followed by a walk off shot by corey
