    A non-Cubs fan friend just pointed this out before the game. It's crazy. I look at tonight's lineup with Costellanos now added, and it looks imposing on paper. It looks pretty damn deep. But then they just don't do anything if they don't hit home runs. The 4 stars all just can’t be slumping at the same time, it’s that simple. KB, Rizzo, Javy and Willy can’t be running ~50 wRC+’s all at the same time for 2+ weeks. Bryant is like a fragile little swan. The minute he tweaked the knee you could see this coming.

    5.5 at most...had nothing to do with them anyway. It was the Cubs and Brewers sucking more. THAT'S NOT VERY REASSURING. It gets better. Last three games in St Louis. If it even matters.

    I can top it. I'd like to see a guy get on first to lead off an inning and then steal. Then the next guy hit it to the right side and move him to third and the next guy hit a sac fly to score him. Sacrilege!

    I just seriously can’t comprehend how a team can look so good hitting for long stretches and so anemic for other stretches. It’s been going on for 2 years now I know, the line up includes mainly all the guys we were salivating over 2 years ago thinking of how much better each player will be as they gain PA’s - yet, they’ve regressed. No approach at all at the plate. In 2016 a lot of these guys wore pitchers out. Not anymore.
