    They both gave up 7 runs in less than 3 innings. I think we can call it a wash. Big runs in the first inning usually mean the pitcher stays in for at least a couple. I think it is different. Game should be nowhere close to being tied right now. Yeah, but that's because the Cubs should have done better last inning with the bases loaded and no outs. Part of the reason being they yanked Maholm before too much damage was done and the other being that our offense can be useless.

    The difference in this game is that Pittsburgh's manager knew when to remove his useless starter. We kept ours in to throw BP.

    Has he really been hit that hard? I'm not watching the game but anyone who allows Nyjer Morgan to go 2-2 and for Izzy to hit a double can't be pitching well. Monroe dove at and dropped the Izzy double... Jacque or Pie would have caught it in the air. The pitch Morgan hit on the second at bat was at his shoe tops.

    Actually would not mind this game to go about 15 innings with a Houston win. Thank goodness Braun is out of this game.
