In my delirium last night, I didn't even realize the count on Baez's hit. It wasn't till I was showing the recording of the 9th to my son this morning that I realized it....what a terrible pitch. I was fully expecting it to be in the dirt or at eye level. I had the same feeling about the pitch Lackey made to Moore on 0-2

It was amazing watching with my 10 year old daughter who has no concept of curses or [expletive]. She looked at me when I was going negative in the 8th inning and said "Dad, calm down, they are going to win this game. This team never loses." Oh how the perspective has changed.

I'm telling you. Can't remember the last time I saw a blink of an eye momentum pillage like that. And by the time the bottom of the 9th rolled around, they were only down by a run, but their souls were too broken to care. I did in 2003. Much better being on this side.
