My quick World Series story. Flew from California and picked up a single on Saturday. Got into the park and recognized the guy next to me. Ended out being Paul Bako, Gledon Rusch, and Todd Wellemeyer. Even though we lost it was extremely cool to talk baseball with them through the game. Really great guys. Back to the game. I am feeling that something very special is coming. The best post I saw the other day was someone saying that this Indians team was built for a sprint. The fact that they didn't put us away on Sunday was very bad for the Indians. Just wish we won that damn game on Friday.

Flying out to Chicago in the morning. It is going to be like a pilgrimage this weekend. I will be looking to get a single ticket Sat and Sunday. Like the Deadheads say "Need a miracle"

Not to be pedantic, but in all likelihood it's one of Napoli and Santana in any given non-DH game, not both. Possibly the same for the Cubs re Schwarber, but on paper you're taking away relatively more of their standard firepower. Apparently Santana was taking flyballs in LF the past 2 days in Cleveland they are thinking of playing him out there. Don't underestimate the wind impact on defense for a team that never plays in Wrigley

Oh yeah. I remembered there was a lot of talk of him being abused. Forgot about the relief appearance. He did go on short rest against Washington, though. Games 1 and 4. Kershaw was great on short rest. He had a long layoff and people were pissed Roberts didn't pitch him in game 5
