He was shamed into starting. - He has a history of being big on his routine and a last minute change messed that up so he said no - If he had the flu, why not just say it yesterday. It was wheezing and mold. - Why in the hell would a guy with the flu be in the most cramped clubhouse in baseball instead of being hooked up to an IV in his hotel room. It is a horsefeathers show. If we could add music to posts, the Nationals theme song is circus music. Just like game 1 all the talk was Strasburg and Hendricks slapped them. Jake is going to own them today.

The only negative is that Joe was counting on HRs to score off of Strasburg last time out. The wind will already make this a pitcher's day. The positive here is stringing a bunch of hits together on Jake isn't easy either. Will be interesting to see if Javy is still in the lineup. I still think that strong D will be a necessity today.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm not sure I believe much of that story. I also half expect to wake up and hear he's starting Game 4. Ditto. I'll believe it when Roark is warming up in the pen before the game. Part of me wants him to start and we either 1) smoke them into submission or 2) Jake shuts them out completely. Maddon was a bad ass today when he said they don't care who pitches.
